Total calamity and BS are an overstatement to describe the municipality. I have logged a blocked sewer at 11:30 or a little earlier on 24/09. I escalated on the 26th. The turnaround time is 24 hrs. according to the website. I called to escalate again this morning (27th) and was told it had been scheduled for today, though no exact time is available. I followed up around 13:10. Now I was told nothing is happening and the problem must be escalated again. They will call me and let me know if and when they will come to unblock the sewer. The last agent was very courteous and apologized many times. As I have to give them access to my property I have been stuck at home waiting. It looks like the first 2 agents just made up the escalation and scheduled fix?!
Checkers CRESTA - (One for R 72, Two for R 99 etc.). Showing one price and charging a higher price - AGAIN! This has happened many times over the past year or two and twice in a row this February/March. Cresta is convenient and has a good selection and quality of products. But being overcharged every other time I shop there is not acceptable! Some other Checkers stores, less convenient, seem to have less choice of products and poorer quality - perhaps they just sell specials a lot quicker? Does it pay to annoy, overcharge and waste customers time?
This is about Checkers in Cresta center. Today I bought a number of items at Checkers Cresta. The "Nice and Easy" meals were on special: Normal price R 72.99 and 2 for R 99. And I took 4. At the till I was charged R 82.99 for each!! As I had bought many items, I only realized I had been overcharged after I had already paid. I complained. The sales assistant/cashier took the frozen meals and went to check the price. Returned with the label showing the special. Then more back and forth and I was eventually annoyed and asked for a full refund and to return the items (they were probably thawing by now). It seems the refund will take anything between 24 hours and 7 days to reflect on my account. Very annoying, inconvenient and a waste of my time! Please note that I understand that mistakes happen and no-one is to blame. However, this has happened to me at Checkers Cresta (only at Checkers Cresta!) several times over the years. Once I complained to head-office, but they were unable to find my invoice/checkers card number and so completely unable to assist in any way. I had to go back to Checkers Cresta to claim the error/overcharge as I had only noticed it at home - very inconvenient! Why is it the one Checkers in Cresta where this keeps happening? How many people are overcharged and never notice?
I bought a Body Glove universal tablet cover from Compu Lab in the Sandton City Shopping Centre and was charged R 850 only to find this product normally sells for between 499 and 549 Rand. What a ripp-off!
My Dischem loyalty card did not show my balance correctly and so I queried this at the Cresta branch. The person at their enquiry's desk was super friendly and helpful. I had also made a mistake with my shopping, and again, this was sorted out quickly and efficiently. I just want to highlight the friendly and professional service I have experienced at the branch over many years. Thank you!
I have had sim swap ***** thanks to Vodacom. Trying to change the phone number to get an OTP from mweb has proven very difficult and so I still have not managed to do so. So I decided to cancel my account. But.... For several weeks now I have been trying to cancel my mweb account. It seems completely impossible. mweb does not respond to queries on their app, to email or calls. I have been holding for 20 minutes and then was simply disconnected. A typical local company profiting from crime and being obnoxious by making it impossible to cancel their lousy service. Oh mighty mweb, please cancel my account!!!
I have had trouble with the fuel lines of my car for the past year. Every couple of days a leak developed requiring repairs. Hatfield VW Northcliff helped me every time. I could just call Lyle and drop in for a while-you-wait repair. As my VW is 20 years old it was very difficult to get the parts, but Hatfield made every effort to help and successfully fixed the problem. Truly excellent service. Thank you.
After Vodacom *****ulently permitting a late night simswap I was forced to change my contact details (on many platforms). Sanlam's helpline proofed to be very friendly, helpful and efficient in guiding me through the process. The agent also pro-actively updated the number on all the documents (I only thought of my online security number). Many thanks.
Vodacom permitted a *****ulent late night simswap causing total chaos and financial loss as well as distress as I now needed to change my recovery and two-step authentication number on many platforms (I have had the number for nearly 30 years). Ninety One was by far the most efficient, friendliest and helpful in doing that. A simple email to my financial advisor, then Ninety One contacted me, verified to my satisfaction that the agent calling was indeed from Ninety One, efficiently and quickly verfified my identity and proceeded to update my mobile number. Unfortunately I don't know the good agents name, but many thanks for your helpful, friendly and efficient manner.
Hello Vodacom, There should be a minus rating for your customer service! I received an SMS from you claiming a you had received a sim swap request and to call 082 135 if I didn't request a sim swap. Well I did NOT! However you 135 is totally handicapped and Tobi is somewhat useless except to tell you your balance! After 40 minutes I got to some kind of TOBI understanding that I wanted to CANCEL whatever sim swap had been *****ulently requested. TOBI sent a pop up that never arrived and said: I see the pop up was cancelled. Good bye! Go to a Vodacom branch. And trying to get a human call-back also is impossible as it just loops asking: Do you want ... human call back. After answering 'Yes, please' a pause and then a message saying can't be done. What is wrong with providing an option to stop *****ulent sim swap requests? I was forced to STOP my banking app in order to limit any possible damage thanks to your unhelpful 082 135. Please note that I have posted before and very little was complimentary. Perhaps someone at Vodacom can explain how to stop a *****ulent sim swap as this is causing more damage and distress.
