I received a sms saying my new credit card was ready for collection at Northgate branch. I went to collect it on 23/3. Outside the bank were 3 privately employed security guards with no name tags. You can not enter the bank without telling why you are there. I showed him the sms and was told to sit in a queue which there were 7 people in front of me. At that stage there were 4 staff working the counter . In the course of the next 50 minutes that became 2 as obviously they had to go on lunch/tea with no regard to how my customers were waiting . By this stage my blood pressure was rising especially watching the speed or lack of, that the staff work. Then I heard a lady enter the bank and said she was there to collect her card. She was directed to another area which was just for card collection. I then called a security guard who became so belligerent when I had the audacity to ask why he had me sitting here (after showing sms) when there was a quick queue for collections. He insisted that I told him who I had spoken to when I entered the bank. The staff member who was doing collections must have heard as she then came and told me to go to her desk where I was helped in 5 minutes. The security wasted 60 minutes of my day as they should not be directing where people go. They also stand outside the bank talking amongst themselves. I have been banking with STD bank since 1978 and the service just gets worse and worse.
The service I received from Fourways Life was shocking. I booked to have a mammogram on 28/3. I had to pay cash for the appointment as my medical savings are depleted. I am still waiting for a tax invoice. I had to wait more than 30 min for my appointment because radiologist was busy with other things??? I only got to see because I had the audacity to actually complain. I go every year because I have a family history of breast cancer. One sister died and the other is a survivor. When mammogram was eventually done I was told not to wait for results as there was something wrong with the system and not to worry they would send results to my Gynecologist . When I went to my Dr on the 23/03 they had still not send the results to me. I had to phone and repeat my email 3 times and eventually I got the results. While I was waiting for the Dr they phoned the Drs rooms to actually make sure I was there????? The receptionist spelt the email 3 times and was assured that the results would get emailed. Well by the time I saw Dr and left they had still not received email. What would have happened if there was a problem with my mammogram and Dr had not received report and I just made an assumption that all was okay because Dr not contacted me. I have still not received my tax invoice??????
First of all one of my employees who died 5 years ago has risen from the dead according to their new website. Pastor Lukau must have visited UIF offices and resurrected him ?? I have now tried 3 times on their website to enter his date of death and register him as deceased (which was done when he died) but it keeps on asking me how much he earns !!!!!!!!! He is dead and has been for 5 years !!!!!!!!!!! . Maybe I can get a link to heaven to ask what he is earning. Secondly my other employees u.i.f contribution payments are completely up to date as of April 2019 but according to their new website I have never paid a cent contribution. Fortunately I have printed proof of every single contribution I have made since 2003. In typical government fashion they don't answer phones or emails.
These people are dishonest. They came to fix our dishwasher. They took it away and supposedly repaired it overnight. They said that the replaced the motor and mother board. They charged my husband R2800 and never gave him a receipt. Needless to say when we used it for the first time it was still not working. My husband has tried for 2 weeks now to get them to respond with no luck. We had no choice but to buy a new dishwasher. I got a mechanical engineer to take the old dishwasher apart to check it parts were actually replaced. Obviously they were not. In fact all part stamp dated year for production.
Last week (14/01/2016) I received a parcel from Spain which was a gift from friends. The parcel contained a paper mache doll, 2 necklaces and a CD. Total value EUR200. On the waybill it states no commercial value. The following day (15/01/2013) I received a phone call from TNT saying that I owe them R1385.00 VAT???? You have got to be joking!!! Needless to say I made it very clear that I have no intention in paying this. If there was a charge they should have informed me before delivery. I have now received an emailed invoice for this amount . The invoice shows that R380 is subject to VAT yet they get a figure of R1385.00. The bottom line is that this was a gift. I did not import anything. I personally think that there is something very dishonest and sinister going on here. I contacted my Spanish friends so that they can tell their courier company not to use TNT. I don't like to be ripped off.
