On the 6th of March 2026, I used the tap feature on my phone to pay for an order at KFC. The order declined on their side but was completed on my end and I received an sms notification confirming that. @KFC refused to give me the order saying that the transaction was unsuccessful and that it would automatically reverse to my account. I called nedbank the following day and they said that the transaction didn’t appear on my list of transactions and they were waiting for KFC to claim the money if unclaimed the money would return back to my account within 7 days. The date today is the 16th neither of them are offering any direction. I have called Nedbank again as KFC is requesting a bank statement and I cannot provide it because the transaction doesn’t appear on my statement. So disappointed with Nedbank. I had hoped that this issue was going to be resolved efficiently but it seems I can’t trust them with my money.
On the 6th of March I visited KFC kokstad, I attempted to make use of the self service counter and upon noticing that it was very slow to respond I approached the till to make my order. After my order was placed I then used the tap feature on my phone and the transaction went through and money was deducted on my account. The person assisting me with my order said it had declined and I should tap again because the store was having network issues. I refused after he kept insisting that I should tap again. He then called his Supervisor who made it my fault that the transaction had failed. I walked out the store without my order and without my money. The supervisor said she would call me it’s now the 16th And I have not received my money back. I have spoken with my bank and they say I have to wait for kfc to claim the funds because the transaction doesn’t appear on my bank statement. Highly disappointing how their team has handled this situation. I have communicated with them on numerous occasions to tell them that I cannot provide a bank statement as the transaction doesn’t appear on my statement however I have the sms to show that the transaction did occur and funds were deducted from my account.
Disappointing Experience with Defective Phone and Poor Customer service I purchased an iPhone 12 64GB from Game Kokstad on the 9th of September 2024. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. The phone developed software issues within less than a month of me owning it, rendering it unusable. The customer service team was unhelpful, and I experienced poor treatment from staff. Specifically, the sales manager initially refused assistance, and the admin manager displayed unprofessional behavior. 1. Defective product sold 2. Poor customer service 3. Unprofessional staff behavior I expect Game, especially Game Kokstad to take responsibility for selling defective products and provide a suitable replacement or refund. Until Game and their Kokstad branch improves their quality control and customer service, I would advise caution to potential customers. I would like Game to provide a replacement phone or full refund and improve their customer service.
Wow where do I even start with them! Highly disappointed! They fail to resolve issues. Firstly their branches are useless! Their staff is rude and untrained. They never know or have answers. The only time they allow you to go into the branch is when you want to open an account or get a loan. They always say use the App of which their app functions are limited. Their debit orders are constantly late every month. Their debit orders only go off two or even three days later. It's even worse on P/H or the weekend. They don't offer any resolutions, I've been reversing the same debit order for the past 5 months, and they have failed to block it on their end or offer any advice or course of action. I have had to pay R45 each time for the past 5 months to reverse the same thing. How much money have I lost? I don't even want to mention how much airtime I've spent on calling them. I regret the day I signed up for this bank. Do not bank with them if you want peace of mind!
I signed up for a contract with Mtn, I cancelled the contract them December 2022. I paid for the cancellation in full and sent them proof of payment. January 2023 they billed me for the contract. I've called their call center multiple times and to say their service champions are useless would be an understatement! They don't know if the contract is under personal or Business, they make you hold for ages and then make you hold again while sending you from pillar to post. I sent them all the relevant documentation but it's still my responsibility to call them and ensure that my funds are allocated to the relevant department. Horrible service and they are *******! Do not sign up with them! I've had to reverse payments monthly for the past 5 months!
