I made an online reservation for lunch on 12 May (mothers day). My reservation was confirmed by email (including their pricing for the lunch)- R295 per person. 2 days later I get an email to say that the lunch for mothers day is now R450 per person (which includes a welcome drink and "entertainment" and the payment must be made upfront. How disgusting to exploit mothers day like that with those exorbitant prices. Nowhere on their reservation platform did they advertise these ridiculous prices. Now we have to run around on the last minute to find an alternative .
We purchased a dishwasher from Takealot. The dishwasher did not work properly from day 1. When we contacted Takealot they said that because it is under warranty with Hisense we need to contact Hisense (they basically washed their hands off it) - regardless of the fact that i purchased from them and NOT Hisense. Hisense sent out a technician. They tried to repair the machine. However 2 days later the machine was still not working. Finally Hisense agreed to give me a "credit" with Takealot. Well it is 2 weeks later and i am struggling to get a credit/refund/exchange from Takealot. Just get referred that it has been "escalated". So we have paid R5500 for a product that has never worked from day 1 and cannot get our money back. So disgusted.
We arranged for a group of our friends to join us for lunch yesterday. The food was just awful and pricey. A very mediocre pizza was R170. One of our friends took 2 bites of her Yellowtail and returned it because it certainly wasnt "fresh out the sea". however, it still appeared on the bill and we had to specifically ask that it be removed. The onion rings were oily and tasteless. Their prices are "waterfront" prices for terrible food. Won't go back there again.
What a fantastic building contractor to work with! currently NHRBC registered and in good standing. Prompt and professional service and competitively priced. What a relief with so many dodgy builders around. Willing to satisfy the client
A lovely Christmas day lunch experience. Food was good, plentiful and all was well organised. And budget friendly!
Foreign Exchange Dept don't answer their phones or respond to emails!!! Have been trying for 4 days now to get through to them and get some clarity on a foreign incoming payment without success... spent alot of time listening to music on the phone... pathetic... and the general call centre just refers you to the "foreign exchange call centre" .. and the branches don't have foreign exchange consultants either .. this is where the other banks are better
I have a cell C contract and am due for an upgrade. I went into the Bayside branch on Saturday morning to upgrade. I was told there was a "hold" on my account which needed to be removed in order to process the account and i must come back in 2 hours time. Well it is 4 days later and still no resolving the issue... no one bothers to call you and the store doesnt answer the phone... makes you wonder if this is the kind of service i can expect if I upgrade and renew the contract!
I had such fantastic customer experience with Lizean at Parklands House and Home - who had so much patience with a faulty washing machine that I purchased. She sent technicians 3 times to repair and when all else failed they replaced the washing machine.
I bought my daughter a laptop in or around December 2019. Within 3 weeks of her having the laptop it started giving problems - a blue screen and then just switching off randomly. I logged a return (ref: RRN-6613-77e8) and took the laptop back. On 2 January 2020 I was told we can collect the laptop. Their technician said there was nothing wrong with it he had watched movies etc. and used it for a few hours and there was no problem. They refused to do an exchange or refund. Since then the laptop has got worse and worse switching off and blue screen more frequently. Takealot does not respond to my email notifying them that the problem is not sorted out. My daughter is a waitress and does not earn alot and she bought the laptop to study through unisa and to spend R4000 is alot of money for her.
Had my terracotta tiles cleaned and sealed by Cornell and his team. Was so happy with the result. On time and reliable
