I did business with this lady for quite a few years. But now she has simply stopped answering my emails. And that after I paid her for certain programs. Sad!
This is the third time that I am really impressed by the helpful, friendly and competent service I got from Barons Woodmead VW. I was immediately helped at reception by a friendly male person. After listening to my problem with my car, he went and called the Workshop manager. This gentleman walked with me to my car, tested the remote-control key, and then guided me to the friendly part dept guy to buy a battery. Then the workshop guy took the key to the workshop while I waited in the waiting lounge where coffee was available. He had an ingenious solution of bending the slack springs to their orginal position, and supporting the battery to make contact. He soon reappeared, we tested the remote on my car, and voila! It worked perfectly. Cost? The battery (R126). Smiles all around! Tip: Do not try pirate non-VW batteries, like I did. Do not mess with your car's remote, like I did. A new car key costs R4 000 plus.
I was impressed with the service of the Car Licensing Dpt in Marlborough. 1. They opened at 7h30. 2. They gave you instructions and forms to fill in at the entrance. 3. They made photocopies on the spot when I needed it. 4. They treated me with efficiency and respect. 5. The lady behind the counter left her cubicle to straighten out queuing difficulties. 6. I was helped in a resonable time. 7. The friendliness of the staff even extended to friendliness of the customers.
Russellhobbs promised me to extent their warranty on their glass kettle 16000 for a second year, providing me a link to their website for warranties. There was no way I could register. Their field 'product number' just wouldn't accept my info. So I tried to contact Russellhobbs through their 'Contact Us' option. The same story. One of their fields in their Contact Us app on their website simply refused any info.
My VW Vivo headlamp failed and I arrived without an appointment at Woodmead's Barons Volkswagen. 1. Almost every staff member passing by greeted me. Wow! 2. When I entered Reception, a secretary stood up from her desk, walked towards me and greeted me in a friendly manner. Wow, again! 3. On hearing about my problem, she walked with me to my Vivo and looked at my headlamp. Wow! 4. She then walked towards the workshop; called a VW mechanic, and presently returned with him, carrying a ratchet *****driver for the job. Wow! 5. The mechanic removed the Vivo's headlamp-unit, got the faulty bulb, and asked me to buy the needed part from their spares shop, so that he could install it, quoting the exact code for it. The shop guy was also friendly, although the genuine VW main beam bulb was pricey (R265). 6. The secretary again went to call the mechanic, my headlamp was installed, and I could drive away. The cost for labour? Nothing! Mahala! Wow! 7. This mechanic had only one eye. But he knew exactly where to touch. I call him my One Eye Wonder! 8. Thank you indeed, Barons Volkswagen, Woodmead!
My daughter, Angie Reid, today bought groceries at Pick n Pay Woodmead, Jhb. When we got home, she realized her most expensive grocery bag, contained amongst other items fresh meat, was missing. She returned to Pick n Pay with her receipt. At the enquiries desk, she immediately recognized her bag with groceries. The fresh meat, though, had been put into the fridge. It turned out that this bag had not put into her trolley. Congratulations, Pick n Pay, for excellent, honest service! Neels Malan
I arrived at the till with various sizes of washers and nuts I had collected in the plastic bags available. The friendly lady, Pam Nkutha, locked her till and escorted me all the way back to the counter. She kindly put the various sizes into the correct little plastic bags and saved me about half of what I would have paid. Wow!
I paid for a secondhand Acer laptop about 6 weeks ago. It was delivered with three serious cracks, one on the screen and the other on the hinges, not declared by the seller. I asked to be refunded. Order 21760872. I lodged a complaint. Ticket no 134161. About 3 weeks ago BidorBuy (Bobshop) simply began to ignore my emails. Nothing. No acknowledgement of my emails. Simply nothing. This is dismal service! What can I do?
