Incase you re involve in accident . Claims take long to be process. Car damage inspection takes long. Not worth to be insured with them. Their processes are slow. It can take up to seven day before your claim can be process. They are not customer focus. I am still awaiting for my claim to be process, inspect damage .
I rented a car with them in year 2022 and I send back the car with minor scratch. When I return the car back, they told me they going to use my deposit of R2000.00 to fix minor scratch. Two months later they call asking me to pay for the minor scratch on the car. I told them my deposit was used to fix the minor scratch. I install 2 x tracker on my car. Car was in for service in July 2024. When I got my car back from service in August 2024. One tracker was working and the second one was not working. I reported it to MIT Telematics. They promise to come fix second AR tracker UT they did not come. I am paying or two tracker but only one is working.
My car was in for service at car dealer in July 2024. When car was return to me in August I reported that my cartrack is not working. Car track charged me R600 to repair the device. I have made follow up twice with them to come fix cartrack. They promise that the technician will contact me and come fix cartrack. No body call to make appointment. Car track still not working. I am paying my monthly premiums and they started deduction the money to fix cartrack. My cartrack not working since August 2024 until today no cartrack. I have open tax-free account in September 2023 under my child name. Initially when I apply, I ask them to deduct R3000 monthly from my account, I week later I requested Old mutual to change my monthly premium to R1000 as I cannot afford R3000. I been sending emails to service@oldmutual.co.za, no help. Last month insted of deduction R3000, they deducted R4000. I send them email, they call me and they forward me a form to fillin. I filled the form send it. Three day later they send me another form to fill in which is different from the firdt one. In October 2023 I requested call back, they call me next day and I explain the problem. The promise that they have made changes for R1000 premium, but still problem not fixed. It is now three months, and the problem is not yest resolved. Old mutual they do not care about the customers; they just need to sell product that they cannot manage. we bought a vehicle last year May 2022. The car was not in good condition. The reverse light, rear light, canopy light was not working. The car was shaking due to shafts, the gears were malfunctioning. Since I bought the car from them, I spend approximately R100000.00 to fix the car. The car is still giving me problems.
I have AA Warranties; they fail to pay the claim. Driveshaft, Gear issue, Braking system of my bakkie. I regret joining AA Warranties. I have even advised somebody who needed extended warranties not to join AA Warranties because they not going to pay any claim even though that part is covered.
