I have submitted a claim in June 2025, but Im struggling with being reimbursed. I have a gap claim mediclinic extender, for when I do go to a mediclinic, that those costs be covered, but now Im being told it wasn't after hours. I took my child to the hospital on a Saturday, as our GP is not open on a Saturday - is it expected that I should put my child`s life at risk just to wait for after hours, whilst my child is vomiting?! Seeing that all calls are recorded, can you please go back to the recordings because I was explained that I can go the mediclinic and then just claim back, I was not told about after hours or any such things. I am waiting in anticipation for the monies to be paid out please, as I need it urgently, I dont have money just laying around.

I have submitted a gap claim and they are refusing to reimburse me. I have a gap claim mediclinic extender plan, which allows me to go a any mediclinic, or atleast that was how it was explained to me. Now that I need to claim back the monies, they are giving all kinds of excuses not to pay out. Seeing that all calls are recorded, they should go back to the recording and listen to what and how they explained the claims portion to me. Im waiting in anticipation for the refund monies please!!!
I have been submitting documents required, been on the phone for more than an hour, sent emails for updates with regards to claims, but no proper support to conclude my claims. Im expected claims to be paid out as I have a Mediclinic extender policy but its seemed as it is just seen as a normal gap policy, but it is an extender, which allows me to go to a Mediclinic but now Im struggling with the claims, for months now.
Im struggling with claims since 11 June 2025. I have a "Mediclinc Extender Gap Cover". I have admitted my baby to Mediclinic and obviously had to pre-pay an amount in order for them to assist us. When I took out the cover, I was told that I can claim back to admission costs afterwards, but I am struggling so much right now. I have 2 claims pending and I need the money. The 1st admission was 25 March 2025 and the 2nd admission was 17 May 2025.
We have sent through a request for claim for our fridge out of order. A technician came to inspect and advise it requires re-gassing at our own cost. We then had the fridge re-gassed, however that was not the issue. We then contacted the insurance again and the technician was sent out again and he then found multiple faults. The insurance now refuse to repair or replace - this claim has been going on since 4 Sept 2024.

I contacted MiWay for a 3rd party claim. I have submitted all documents on 23 May 2023 and have not heard of them since. I have sent several follow-up emails but did don't receive any responses. I phoned today, now only will they follow-up with the reporting department of something. I was told to phone again to follow-up, but I must phone after a week. It doesnt look like all people are taking their work seriously. Why is it always a hastle for claims to be processed. Claim C1658205.
I have logged a call with Standard Bank Insurance with regards to a water leak on my property on 11 October 2021. The 12th a plumber came to detect the leak and said they are unable detect, the insurance will need to send out a gas leak detector. A day went by and we havent heard of the insurance and contacted them, they said they will send someone out the Thursday @ 13:00. No one pitched, we contacted them again on the Friday, they were going to send someone out thee Saturday, no one pitched. Eventually on Monday, 18th, someone came and said the could detect the leak either, but that there is definitely a leak. They were going to return the following day as they had to allocate it to another team or something. We havent heard anything back as yet, meanwhile our waterbill is going sky-high!!!! We have been told that we will get `n rebate on our water account, but at the moment the bill is just accumulating and accumulating!!!! Call centre everything says they will get back to us but they never do!!!
