This courier service is completely useless. My parcel was collected on the 30th of April and today is the 6th of May, and I still do not have it. It was marked out for delivery at 08:58, and somehow they still managed to log two “delivery failed” attempts later that same day. No one arrived, no one called, nothing. Just updates on a system that clearly does not reflect reality. How do you go from out for delivery to failed delivery twice without even attempting to contact the customer? It is either pure incompetence or deliberate dishonesty to cover missed deliveries. The tracking is misleading, the service is non existent, and the communication is zero. Avoid this courier if you actually want to receive your parcel.
I tried contacting this company using many methods and got no answer at all. Not once. No call back, no update, nothing. The service has been terrible from the moment I paid. The first red flag came when I was informed that there will be two deliveries. It feels like once they have your money, they just cant be bothered. Even their service providers seem to have the same attitude. The courier company, after taking more than a week to deliver, had me waiting for the goods all day and didnt deliver as yet. Today is the second day. I am still waiting for my order and no one can give me a straight answer. If it is not delivered today, I want it cancelled. Simple. Very disappointing experience. I would highly recommend not dealing with them.
These guys are a huge waste of time. After clearly reviewing their policy regarding car parts and making sure the goods I was shipping meets the requirements, I get told on the morning of the collection that the car rims cannot be shipped. I was also told that since the collection is booked, I will not be able to cancel and they will not refund my deposit of over R900. I was also given their local number to call. A number which you stay on hold and feel yourself getting older. At this point I am not sure what to do, because I now have someone waiting patiently on Australia for parts that cannot be sent to him.
Dealing with them was a real time-waster, and I wouldn't recommend buying from them. I ordered some electronic modules online, and things went downhill from there. When I checked in a few days later, they told me it would take 15 to 25 days to deliver. I followed up a month later, and they promised to do something about it, but it seemed like nothing happened because I sent an annoyed email and got no response. I tried calling them a few times, and they kept me on hold for ages. The last time I got through, the guy said he'd email me the tracking details. When the email finally came, it showed they only placed my order on the day we talked. Honestly, these people shouldn't be in business.
This company is just slow. A package was picked three days ago and was supposed to be delivered one day ago. For some reason the package is sitting on a shelf in the Johannesburg branch waiting for delivery three days from now. Hows that for ****py service? I tried emailing the and all I got was a response that my mail was received and a ticket number. I called twice, the first time I had to hold for 12 minutes, then someone answered and the call was dropped (not sure on who's side). I called back and waited for seven minutes. The operator refused to call me back if the call was dropped, so I got on with it and found out the information above. This company would give the post office some serious competition.
This company has delivered like every other courier company but when they ***** up, they do it royally. The first time they messed up a delivery to pietermaritzburg, from Durban. It took them over a month to get the package to the client. I should have stopped using them immediately. The second time they used the excuse that the product was not in a box to refuse my damage claim. The bottle was squeezed until product leaked out. If you use a company like this, you will lose clients. They are irresponsible and careless and conveniently have all the excuses in the book. What they never do, is be fair to their clients. I'm very disappointed with the service and will NEVER use them again. I will also make sure that everyone I interact with will hear about the poor service.
I went to Hirsch in Umhlanga looking to buy a 2 plate gas hob. I was attended to by a salesman that was helpful and polite, but after seeing what he had to offer and deciding that what he offered me was not quite what I was looking for. I then decided to look around the store myself and when I went to the Defy stand I was met by a lady named Shay. She showed me a hob that I would have considered but it did not have a cast grate and wasn't too appealing. I asked her to check and let me know if what I was looking was available. The next day I got a call and she said that she had found what I was looking for and was going to get it delivered to the store. She had exactly what I had asked for. I was so impressed that I bought a fridge and washing machine too. She almost sold me a dishwasher too. The salesman Jiten was very helpful and we negotiated a good deal. Thanks for the great service. Defy has really chosen well with their brand ambassador.
