Yummy! We had a great experience here! The place was sparkly clean and the ladies that waited on us were so friendly and upbeat! They gave us a hot fresh glazed donut upon arrival and patiently waited on my littles to choose a donut. We ordered four different kinds of donuts and the donuts and coffee were delicious! There was a big variety of donuts to choose from. I definitely recommend this place. 5 stars!
It is not great in most remote areas in the country, but their ice cream is decent. I wish that they had larger sizes, so I did not have to buy multiple if I am craving ice cream because you do not get much like it at the grocery store. When it gets busy, service is slow for what I would expect. They probably just underpay their employees. I wish that there was better quality control even at their busier locations. They use such cheap ingredients here and most of their food lacks seasoning compared to other countries.
Century City is a comparatively new development. There is lots of accommodation, the Protea Colosseum Hotel looks pretty luxurious. The Mall is one of the bigger ones in SA, not sure whether it compares with some of the Dubai Malls or how the prices compare. There is also a theme park in the complex, Ratanga Junction. Unfortunately it is only fully open November to mid-January (peak season) For me, one problem with staying at Century City is that it is pretty isolated, yes there is the mall, plenty of restaurants and entertainment but it is about 10 km outside Cape Town, so even to look round Cape Town you would have a car journey. Personally I would prefer to stay in the city, V & A Waterfront area for hotels, restaurants, entertainment etc. You could have a trip to Canal Walk, Century City if you really wanted to visit the mall.
The wifi was basically nonexistent. I was on a work trip, so not having wifi was an absolute nightmare. I got so behind on my emails! The bathroom was open with only a curtain, no door. The toilet leaked randomly twice during my four night stay. The room was mostly clean, but we eventually starting seeking some tiny insects even though we never opened any windows. The AC was fine, but that internet... our speed was (at best) 1.6Mbps!!! I could barely open my browser because they are so resource-intensive these days. Streaming was an absolute no-go. Wifi connection constantly dropped, too, yet I was getting about 3Mbps in the hallway...? It is a big place, but I do not care. Wifi is not something you can overlook these days.
I’ve had a Day SIM for a couple of years now I think. I pay about R600 a month for Uncapped data (my MAX is bundled in). I’ve never had any issues, and the customer service has so far been really good. I needed a replacement card once because my phone was ****** on a cross country road trip. They got me a knew one relatively quickly and worked with me well to find a place to deliver the sim card to as I was on the move at the time. After an abusive 4 year relationship with MTN and supersonic on contracts, it’s a nice change of pace. Can leave or downgrade my plan any time.
I phoned King Price for a quote today. I was shocked the way in which questions were asked. They were very rude and had nothing to do with what I needed help with. I had one of my vehicles insured with King Price before and now wanted a quote for my son's car. The way I was treated today made me decide not to go with King Price. I was so disappointed! They wanted to know if I was single... wat??
