The pharmacist Mr Ntsiakelo, at the Mall of Africa branch was incredibly rude to me when I had requested 2 packs of my birth control as I am traveling overseas. He said he needed physical proof of my flight ticket in order to give it, to which I asked for a reason, and he said its only monthly. When I had told him, that Dischem did not require this of me before and had given me 2 boxes when I left a few months ago, he had the AUDACITY to roll his eyes and say that it was my imagination and impossible. When I tried to correct him of his attitude he simply walked away. This is absolutely unacceptable. I will not be visiting this branch again and believe he deserves at least a final written warning for his attitude.
Don't bother paying for Premium Lounge. There is nothing premium about it, you just do the same thing as everyone, it is such a ****. I assumed I'd be in a private room, offered refreshments and have that personalized experience but had to just go and do the normal process as everyone else. Would never pay for that ever again, almost R900 wasted.
Tshidiso from the online chat is the most rude person I have ever spoken to from standard bank. I was transferred multiple times, to finally get to his department where he put a block on my card(which was unexpected) , and did not answer my questions. When asking him to assist for a security feature, he says his department does not handle that and did not bother to transfer me to the correct department. When i asked him if there was someone who can help, he says "I don't know. Would you like me to remove your block. Please note standard bank wont be held liable for any *****." but if that feature was made available. THEN THERE WOULD BE NO *****. Since then, no one has helped and my account is blocked.
The hotel available for booking advertised on there sight stated that it included breakfast. The booking was made and payed electronically online. When i called the hotel to confirm the booking they said it does not include breakfast. I then called Adoga customer service to enquire and was told that with that particular hotel they are having problems on the breakfast included option. I then decided to cancel as I specifically wanted a hotel with breakfast included, after cancelation i was told that i will have to wait over 30 days for a reversal of funds and i now dont have the funds to book another place. Why advertise as breakfast included when it's not, this is misleading and now i dont have the funds to book a place to stay. I asked then to reverse the cancelation which they say they can't. We had already made plans to visit a sick family member and now we do not have the funds to stay anywhere.
The customer service when booking a reservation is absolutely terrible and the business should really try to employ people whom aren't rude to potential customers. On the 7th of October, I had called the restaurant to book a reservation for the 14th of October at 5pm. No problem there, all went well, and the reservation was booked. Today, the 13th, I call in to confirm the reservation I had made, I am immediately answered by a rude lady, whom asks for my details. I spell my name and give my number. She tells me there is no booking, and then out of nowhere a man starts speaking on the phone. I explain to him, I want to confirm a booking I had made for this week. I give him my details, and he tells me that unfortunately there is no booking, and I never made one. I proceed to tell him I made a booking on this exact number and spoke to another gentleman that day, whom made the booking for me. He proceeds to tell me, that it is impossible, he was the only guy there that day, and that I spoke to him. I then said, "if I spoke to you, do you remember my booking then?" he say, no, he never spoke to me? I tell him I definitely made a booking and if you can not find my reservation, can you make another for me?, to which he kept cutting me off, and having an attitude saying he was the only guy here that day and that I spoke to him? While raising his voice at me for no apparent reason, to which made no sense, as I was calm throughout the conversation. And yet apparently I never called. He eventually made my booking and took down my details, but I am so put off with his attitude that I dont feel like even spending money at an establishment with such unprofessional employees.
Worst experience I have ever had at a salon. I booked a hair, pedicure and manicure appointment 4 days in advance. Before booking this appointment on their business whatsapp chat, I asked for their price list. Wash, cut and blow(R400), pedicure with massage chair (R280), french tips(manicure) (R390). I confirmed prices with them thr 2nd time and booked an appointment on that same chat. First red flag upon arriving for my appointment, was that they didn't know I was coming in for a hair appointment too. After that was sorted out, they began to do my nails, and I was asked what will I be doing with my feet. I told them that what I chose was already confirmed in the booking, which was a pedi with a massage chair, paint only, for R280. I was immediately told that I was incorrect with the price and that it is R300. I told them, I have proof that pricing was confirmed at R280 and this is what i budgeted for, and this is what they needed to give me according to the CPA, and that they showede this pricelist. The manager, Tasneem? Was called and I was told she could not do anything for me. I decided to confirm the prices of the hair cut and manicure. And guess what. The prices were wayyy off there too. Hair cut was R430 and Nails was 420. I told showed her proof of the price list I was given on the chat and the confirmation of the total i will be spending. Amd she told me she could do nothing for me and that it was a human error on a girl that started a month ago. I told her that it was most definitely not my fault and to at least give me a voucher or something complimentary for the inconvenience? And she said she could do nothing for me but maybe throw in a parafin wax? To which was not done. My nails were so rushed, I was bleeding and bruised, and my hair cut was rushed due to the lady knocking off soon, and whiley hair was being cut. A lady was paintingy toe nails. I barely spent 10 minutes on the massage chair. I spent extra for, and still, i Had to pay the new prices, and not the original prices given to me. So not only did i spend more money than i budgeted, i was also hurt amd brusied in the process. I have screenshots of the chat and pictures of the bruises as proof. Please do not go there if you expect professionalism. As the lady who didy toe nails told me the same, that this sort of thing happens all the time, and even her eyes had widened when she saw my bleeding nail, and spoke to me about how uncaring the person who sent me the pricelist was and how the lady just shrugged her shoulders when told she gave the customer incorrect prices.
