Purchased a Ford ranger 3.2 2019 XLT still under warranty and motor plan with 85000km on the clock from NMI Ford N1 City. Collected the vehicle and found that the indicators were flicking faster than normal. Took it back the next only to be told its normal. First time ford owner accepted the outcome. A year plus later we decide to hook up a trailer only to find the lites on the trailer not working. Tested the trailer which was all ok. Called Ford who advised we book the vehicle inn. This we did and they called later that afternoon that it would cost R2,500 to fix. Refused to pay and spoke to the service manager Sandile. He then offered to reduce the price to R1,950.00. I refused the quote and said I will collect the vehicle. Collected the vehicle and drove straight to our local auto electrician in Table View. Took the technician no longer than 3min to tighten a earth wire at no charge and the indicator flickering time went down to normal.

Went back the next day and they could find nothing wrong and said its normal. 18 months later now out of warranty and motor plan we hook up a trailer for the first time. Trailer lights dont work. Try another trailer same storey. Call ford and explain. They ask to book the vehicle inn. Done. Get a call later the morning only to be told that the wiring is faulty and it will cost R2500 to repair. I call three times but no return calls. I then make contact with the Service manage Sandile and he reduce the price to R1950. I refuse to pay and fetch the vehicle. I take the vehicle down to our local electrician at Flamingo Square Table View. It took them no longer than 3 minutes to find a loose earth on the module below the front seat. All sorted and in working condition and the indicators now flash at normal speed.
Hi. I purchased all my sanitary ware, taps, and tiles at Tiletoria Paarden Island Cape Town in 2015. All the mixers for the showers bath and sink have a 10 year guarantee against any defects. My taps are now falling apart and the chrome peeling and bubbling. I sent then pictures and numerous e-mails with no response. Even went to the showroom to complain. Still waiting. Been more than a year. Bad business.
I bought a Ryobi grass edge trimmer from Builders Warehopuse on the 16/10/2019. The box says 2 year guarentee. Sounds good so it should be a good product. 10 months later and a so called consumable part has worn out and I have to pay for the repairs (My previous Trimrite last me 27 years). It turns out the entire unit is consumable except the shaft, handle and casing. Dont buy Ryobi SH.....T
I have a very small bond with ABSA paid via debit order. Since June 2018 they listed me on ITC as late payment which has now influenced my credit rating. My payments is made on time via debit order. e.g. February has 28 days so the debit order reflects the 1/03/.... They then record this as non payment or late payment. Three months in 2019 they debit my account twice in one month and still record this as late payment I provided them with all the payments history and they seem to not care at all.
I submitted a claim on my pool pump some two months ago. I have to date not received any feed back from them. I called them and was told the claim was rejected due to wear and tear. This pump were fitted by them via one of their service providers in 2016. They sent the contractor who previously replaced the pump to report on the same pump and was told that its wear and tear. Pool pumps don't crack in the way that this pump do. All other reports I got was that its a manufacturer problem. Poor service.
I purchased a pair of Croc slip ons for the summer season 2016/2017. I wore these shoes for most of the summer days when off from work. Unfortunately the toe portion broke which is what happened to three other pairs of the same shoe. Made contact with Deane Barton at Crocs ( ********** 845) who advised that they have discontinued that make due to a manufacturing problem. Sent him two mails with pics of the problem but he does not respond to my mail or call back. Why do the consumer have to suffer due to a manufacturing problem. This is unacceptable.
