We are relocating to Mauritius and had to make use of a company, specialising in the transportation of pets, as we have 3 dogs, that we needed to get flown out of country. We decided on Move @ Pet, as they initially looked like a professional company and are based very close to P.E airport. Transporting pets internationally, comes with huge financial costs and one would reason that your animals are in good hands... We went through all the painstaking paperwork, numerous vet appointments etc and finally met up with Move @ Pet, at our Vet's practice on 25 Feb, where medication, feeding and itinerary were discussed. I had to prepare ziplock bags, with dry food and meds, for each dog, individually and discussed the dosage of meds and feeding in detail with Mrs Martin, in person. The dogs were supposed to be medicated an hour before their flight, but also had anti anxiety tablets in prepared food, that was part of their meals. When we eventually saw our dogs in Mauritius on 26/02/2026 at about 22:00, they were extremely anxious and traumatised, to the extent that one of them was ***ering in the corner of his flight crate and at first didn't even recognise me. It was then when I noticed the Ziploc bags that I prepared, with their meds, still attached to the outside of their flight containers. This means that they weren't only deprived of their food, but also of much needed anti anxiety tablets. When I inquired about this, Move @ Pet rep**** that the dogs were fed with food that we didn't provide and was given medication, but not as per our contract. Mrs Martin acknowledged that even with meds, these trips can be overwhelming. They also said that they don't get feedback from the destination end, which left a huge question mark, about client service and the wellbeing of transported animals. They apologised for the inconvenience the dogs had to endure. For a company that charges nearly R 100000 to relocate dogs, on a four hour flight, one would expect professional service and empathy towards animals. Our dogs were severely traumatized because of either the ignorance, or incompetence of Move @ Pet and their associates in Johannesburg and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who are relocating animals. Do your research thoroughly before deciding on companies like this, who obviously do not care for the welfare of your animals and are driven by profit only. Ironically they use the slogan " Business Class for animals" If this was business class, I really don't want to experience economy...
This is one place that will never see me again. Went there on my birthday 31 Jan, expecting the same service and quality as from Pili Pili in Sedgefield... We were a party of 4, but only paid for one meal (pizza that was average) and our drinks. My wife and daughter ordered chicken schnitzel and veggies and I ordered hake, with squid heads, fries and veggies... After about 50 minutes we we served our food and I couldn't eat mine as the batter on the fish was raw and the squid heads were nowhere to be seen. (There was something resembling peas, but it tasted like cardboard) My wife and daughter's food was even worse. The schnitzels were thin and dry and the veggies were swimming in cold oil. We took it up wit the "manager" When he tasted the cold mushroom sauce, he said it didn't taste like mushroom... maybe because it was raw batter and not mushroom sauce? 🙄 After he said he was sorry (or **** you) we paid for a pizza and our drinks and left and got the best pizzas ever, from Savoy Hotel in Jeffreys Bay Don't support Pili Pili in Jeffreys, because you will be sorry. I sincerely hope they aren't the owners of Pili Pili in Sedgefield as well, because something is seriously wrong over here...
Today marks day 145 since I complained about rain water pooling in front of our house in Paradise Beach. (Official ticket no 18912 at the DA run Kouga Municipality) I've sent multiple emails to the Municipality and even WhatsApp messages with pictures to the mayor, on his request, and up and until today, nothing was done. The pictures shown are from today and I have taken many more over since 27 May, when I reported this problem. We are sitting with rising damp and damage to our house, as a direct result of the DA run Municipality's incompetence. I was watching a clip on FB earlier where the mayor was bragging about his Municipality heavily investing in road infrastructure and customer services. We have seen nothing of those sevices as yet. Soon the DA will beg for our votes again, in the coming elections and make promises that they can't keep. They sure as hell won't get ours.
Today marks 90 days, since I registered a complaint about water pooling up in front of our house, as a result of poor drainage on the road. There is an existing gutter running underneath the road and I can fix the problem myself, but it will be *******, as the road belongs to the municipality. (Governed by the DA) After I registered said complaint, I received ticket no 18912 and was informed that the problem would receive the necessary attention. On 24 July, I contacted our mayor, Mr Hattingh Bornman via WhatsApp and informed him about our problem and sent pictures of said problem. He responded and asked me to send him an email in this regard and said that he would look into it. Up until today, nothing has been done and I haven't even seen a municipal vehicle, where we live, I'm Paradise Beach. Our problem got worse, as we are now sitting with rising damp in our home and paint is starting to blister as a result. I've sent the Municipality and Mr Bornman another email, with pictures of damage attached. Never received an answer from our "honourable" mayor. As a ratepayer, surely I deserve service from our Municipality. It's always before local elections that they make promises about service delivery and a better life for all, but as soon as they get elected, the voters mean nothing. They will never get my vote again and it looks like the only option left is to get legal support in order to make them accountable?
SA Home Loans stole R20880 from my bank account, creating a debit order that I never requested. Said amount was deducted from my bank account on August 2nd, without my permission. Numerous visits to my bank and endless phone calls made to SAHL and their *********** staff... I provided proof of said payment, after SAHL accused my employer of creating a stop order. This money was however not taken by stop order, but from my account, via debit order and had to be created by SAHL. They even told me that I created said debit order. Who in his right mind would sign a debit order, to release money to a company that he doesn't owe anything, to an account that does not exist? I eventually had to complete a form and request that they reimburse me, which by the way, still didn't happen. Makes me wonder how many other people are going through the same thing and how much interest SAHL collect, while ****** money lies in their bank account. I'm considering registering a ******** case of ***** against SAHL, but don't know if it will even do any good.
I'm not going to write the whole story again, so here's a copy of the complaint that I sent to their Head Office, still awaiting an answer 😔 Dear Sir/Madam I was at your Knysna branch on 29 August to collect a battery that I handed in there to be charged. As I was about to receive the battery it was tested by an employee, who's name I unfortunately did not ask. He informed me that the battery was faulty and needed to be replaced. I still had to pay for charging, but had no objection, as it was there for a few days. I then told him that I purchased the battery from them on 17 November 2022 and it had a 2 year warranty, so I would like a replacement battery. He then walked up to an almanac hanging on a wall, had a look and told me that the warranty expired in July, as that was the month in which it was manufactured. I told him that I didn't think it was fair, because when I bought it, I was ensured it came with a full 2 year warranty. I took the battery and left, without my receipt that I provided as proof of purchase and warranty. I returned, after a while to collect my receipt, as I wanted to enquire from your Head Office if this was indeed your policy, to honour a warranty only up to date of manufacture and not date of purchase. As I stopped at my house, I received a call from Battery Centre in Knysna and the person, not the same one that I dealt with, asked me when I purchased the battery. I told him and he asked me to again take the battery back to them, with prove of purchase, as it was still under warranty. I went back there the next day and received a replacement battery. I then told him that I was at Battery Centre on 27 July 2024 with a battery that we purchased from them, for my wife's vehicle. I was informed by the same employee that it was out of warranty, because of the manufacturing date, not the purchase date, and it needed to be replaced. He apologized and I told him that I was very unhappy, as I had to replace that battery. ( I bought a battery from Agriland in Knysna that day for R1844.14) If he honoured the warranty on said battery, I would have received a replacement battery, at no cost to me. Can you please confirm if your policy dictates that a warranty goes according to date of manufacture, as claimed by Knysna Battery Centre, as I don't want to post inaccurate posts on social media? A few other things also come to mind: 1) If I accepted Battery Centre's original ruling and handed in the faulty battery, I would've had to purchase a new one. 2) What are the chances of said faulty battery then afterwards getting claimed under warranty, only to be sold again as a new battery without the knowledge of Battery Centre? 3) How many other people fell for the same ****/false advertising, as I did? If this truly ís your policy, which I hope not, I will NEVER do business with any Battery Centre branch and I will make sure to warn people about what I see as a ****, false advertising and the exploitation of your costumers. Regards Lardus Homann
On 2024/08/21 received a quote from The Courier Guy, in Knysna, to send a parcel to Maritzdam farm in Brits Town district. The parcel contained medicine and other items that was urgently needed, so I agreed on the Overnight Delivery Service, as quoted. Now on 2024/08/27, only after I enquired about the status of the delivery, I received an email from the company, stating that the parcel was successfully delivered and apologising about the delay in delivery, blaming it on staff in Knysna, to whom I entrusted said parcel, and also admitting that they couldn't provide the service, as agreed to as per qoute/contract. As it turns out, the parcel was delivered to Quest Fuel Station in Prieska, to be collected by the intended recipient. This was not as per our agreement and what I have paid for. It also means that the intended recipient must now travel at expense to Prieska to receive said parcel from a Fuel Station. I don't know if anyone else was effected in this way by The Courier Guy and their false advertising scheme, but would like to expose them for the *****ulent business that they run.
Outeniqua Motors in George. I bought a double cab from this business, end of Dec 2023. ABS warning light came on, 1km after leaving their shop. Long story short, the vehicle has been back at Outeniqua Motors 3 times, since then. Currently still in a workshop, somewhere, for the past 16 days. The owner of the business is adamant that he will only replace the ABS pump, with a second hand pump. It's an essential part and he is risking my safety. Also caught his salesman lying about replacing a fanbelt pulley, which they claim to have replaced. Outeniqua Motors has absolutely no regard for business that I am losing and I am now battling to get my money back. Be very careful of buying a used car and stay clear of Outeniqua Motors.
Unfortunately There's no zero star rating available. *************, *********** staff and owner. Bought a vehicle 28 Dec. Had to take it back on 3 occasions. The last 10 days were spent on diagnosing the problem. Staff was caught out lying, saying that engine parts were replaced, that were still not replaced. ABS Pump, that is a crucial part, they want to replace with a second hand pump, while vehicle is still covered under their "guarantee" Anyone wanting to do business with Brent and his team, are free to contact me for a more detailed review. Stay away from Outeniqua Motors!
