I have a dashcam with Cartrack. It barely works. The reason to have a dashcam is to be able to access footage. It took me two over two months before I was able to access any footage. I then traded in the car and Cartrack came to install the dashcam in the new car. I am now back again in that process that takes over two months before you can be able to access anything. In those months in which this dashcam is barely working you still have to pay them each and every month.
They are supposed to be a tracking company, but they are not available on the phone, they don't respond to e-mails, etc. Horrible service. All they know how to do is to take your money. It is one of the worst tracking companies.
Cartrack markets their dashcam system as a system that can assist you when you are involved in an incident beacuse it records and your can download that footage to use in your defense. False advertising you can't downlad that footage which renders the whole thing meaningless. By the time you realise tis it would be too late you would be tied up in a long contract you can't get yourself out off. So be very careful if you are in the market for a dashcam camera
There are these Huawei phones that the network providers are pushing for business. They are beautiful phones but I just want to warn people that use their phones to tap about these Huawei phones. They don't tap. People at these network providers will gaslight you and tell you they can but they can't. If you ask them some will tell you how they have used Huawei for years and they know Huawei phones can tap to pay. If you press them and ask them have you done those tap to pay with your Huawei they will tell you how they don't do that. I was mislead by one of them into taking a Huawei mate x6 on contract and I'm now stuck with it as they don't want to take it back. I called the call centre of Vodacom about this and they told me if I got the phone online I would be able to return it within a period of 14 days but since this was done at a branch I don't have that privilege. So be careful about Huawei if you want to do tap and pay and also be careful about Vodacom branches.
There is something called NFC in smartphones. It enables you to tap with your phone the same way you tap with your card. If you ask anyone using Huawei they will tell you that Huawei has that functionality and it works, but no one that says that has even used it. If you go online and search about this issue you will come across statements from Huawei itself saying it works. The network providers that are pushing these phones will also plain lie to you and say it works. So before you buy these phones if you are a person that uses your phone to tap ask them to demonstrate to you first that it works.
I spend the whole month of March trying to update my debit order details with no success. Today they sent me an e-mail claiming that my account is in arrears. I called their call Centre number 084 135 and spoke to one of the rudest call centre agents called Nokuthula. Their call centre is one of the worst call centres you will ever come across.
I don't even have an account with them, but they debited my account and have been sending me messages about the payment because I reversed the debit. A very bad and ************* company. Now I tried e-mailing them and whatsapping them but there is no response. The company is very bad and *****ulent. I personally experienced *****ulent activity from them.
