Service and support is excellent, and they went beyond the call of duty to provide assistance and advice, and to fix a glitch with the wrong time zone on the mobile app. I'm enjoying my new solar system without having to worry about Eskom and City Power any more.
I ordered a hard drive that was "low on stock at the supplier". It turned out there was NO stock at the supplier. So GeeWiz suggested two other items, and gave me a refund as soon as I chose one of them. Turns out the supplier was out of stock as well. Third time lucky. GeeWiz went out of their way to be of assistance, and the goods have arrived safely. Thank you!
1. Be careful what date you renew your contract because that's the ONLY day of the month MTN will run your debit order, whether you like it or not. 2. I tried renewing my contract in January. It took them 3 weeks to provide me with the phone I wanted. 3. In the first 3 months of this year I have been contacted by 3 different MTN call centres to sell me a new contract, even AFTER I already had a new contract. This even though for the last 25 I have insisted on NO MARKETING CALLS. 4. Somehow during all this confusion MTN changed the primary contact number of my account, plus started sending invoices to the WRONG email address that I updated two years ago. 5. In addition they *****ed up my debit order and DebiCheck mandate, and disconnected my phone number TWICE in the last 2 weeks because of their stuff up. 6. So now I will do a bank deposit each month because I refuse to allow them to deduct money on the 21st of each month, instead of the 1st of the month as before.
I saw they sell watches online through Takealot, and discovered they have their own website. I found the Casio watch I wanted, and so I took a drive out to Krugersdorp to see the watch, and decide if it was the one for me. What a pleasant experience! No hard sell, just friendly, courteous assistance and advice. They gave me a good price, and I am very satisfied with my watch. Highly recommended.
I took out a FreeMe 1GB contract and specified that I wanted a ZERO spend limit. The Cresta Store ignored this request and didn't explain that they can't change the Spend Limit for the first month. Why didn't they just offer me a FreeMe TopUp package? All the details on my blog with the title "Telkom's R500 per month ripoff on a R229 FreeMe mobile contract"
