But they wrote R2 100 after their calculation, then when I called to say that they had their calculation wrong. They changed their amount on their assessment to 5 mm, from 6 mm, and reduced the claim percentage from the 90% to 70%. If that's not *****, I don't know what is. They decided that they want to pay less, and they made it so that they could by changing a claim assessment, and it did not have any excuse except to say that it's a typo. This is incompetence at the highest level. With a lot of effort I proved them wrong and they eventually acknowledged th 90%. They then proceeded to delay payment terms forcing me to pay for the new tyre in full and request the refund from them. after I submitted documents for the refund, they acknowledged it yet, 27 days later the refund was not processed. When I followed up, they claimed they did not get my information and told me it would be another 10 days before payment. Complete shambles, dishonesty and lack of accountability. On or about the 10th of July 2023, I booked an overnight stay for myself and his family, for Friday, the 14th of July 2023, for the value of R2 677.50. When I arrived at the resort on the 14th of July 2023, I was advised by the staff that there is no electricity, further that there was also no backup, which meant that there was no power in all the rooms and only limited power in the restaurant. There was no indication of when the electricity would be restored, they could not blame loadshedding because there was electrictiy outside the resort, This was due to failure of the resort's electric supply grid because there was no loadshedding in the area. We requested for a cancelation of the booking and a refund for the amount paid for the booking because we clearly could not enjoy use of the facilities, no backup power in the rooms (not even candles), no wifi, very dark areas on the resort with animals roaming, we had a booking at the spa but it was closed because of no electricity, no meals because restaurant had limited backup power. The staff did not know what the procedure was for such cases and what arrangements could be made for us, Their head office could not be of assistance on that day as they had closed for business at that time. Our refund request was denied because there is a "no refund policy" so it is clear that THEY DO NOT CARE if you do not have the use & enjoyment of their promised premises and facilities. Simply put, their facility was not equipped to accommodate the people who chose to stay at the resort that weekend, at all times, it was also not safe as a result because there are animals roaming around and the parking is far from the rooms, which is ultimately a breach of the service agreement on their part. This is to help anyone who is thinking of staying there. Having been a Vodacom client for a number of year I am very dissappointed with the quality of product that they delivered and the failure to make provision for us to return it nor refund my money. Background: 2022-12-17 I ordered 3000VA 1800W UPS for R3500 from the online Vodastore / Vodabucks Store. 2022-12-19 The Item was delivered (by an unknown delivery company, Vodacom has always used RAM for its deliveries) The UPS neither charged nor powered any appliances. Indication of a bad battery. 2022-12-23 I called Vodacom to come and collect the device and get a replacement device or my money back they agreed to organize the collection of the device. This was not done. January 2023 I called to follow up on collection when I was told that they cannot collect and I have to take it to the manufacturer. After a back and fourth I requested escalation for which I did not get a positive response from for 5 months despite countless calls. They did not even know who manufactured the device they sold to me despite me giving them all the necessary serial numbers, delivery notes, e.t.c. relating to the UPS. They insisted I should take it first to a vodacom store then later to Muztek for service. I called Muztek to ask if they had the device on the system and they confirmed that it was NOT their device. Vodacom disputed this. 2023-06-29 after getting fed up I took the UPS to Vodacom Midrand where they said their technicians do not service UPS. On this day the lady assisting discovered that the UPS belongs to Linkqage and Not Muztek. On the same day I took the UPS to Linkqage offices in Midrand where they confirmed in writing that the UPS was one of their very old devices for which the warranty period expired a month after I purchased it from Vodacom. 2023-07-03 I phoned again to explain the above situation, I was asked to provide proof of purchase, bank statement reflecting payment. 2023-08-16 I received an email saying I must send the UPS to MUSTEK AGAIN. When I explained the whole problem again to the new voda consultant which resulted with her not responding my future follow ups. I continued to request escalations telephonically. 2023-10-16 After a telephonic conversation with a "team leader" I received an email from him with a Mustek Returns Policy, using this policy I called Mustek again regarding the device and they confirmed that it did not belong to them. After the 16 I did not pursue the issue further and took it as a loss on the purchase and confidence lost in a previously trusted provider of electronics. This is just a review to advise anyone who is thinking of purchasing electronic items from the Vodabucks / vodastore to think twice because if that item is faulty you will spend over a year trying to get an exchange or refund. Horrible experience
