I am extremely disappointed with the poor service and lack of communication from MidCity Utilities. I am based at Hornbill Crest, Unit 42. In December 2025, I received a statement reflecting outstanding arrears that were never properly explained, despite my previous statement showing my account was fully up to date. Concerned about these unexplained charges, I contacted MidCity for assistance. I initially spoke to an employee named Riccardo, who promised to investigate my query and get back to me, but he never followed up. After that, I made multiple calls and sent several emails trying to get clarity, but with no success and no proper assistance. I later called again and spoke to a lady named Boitumelo, who was the only person willing to assist. She took my details, followed up, and provided a clear explanation of the charges. I sincerely appreciate her help and professionalism. However, I am now receiving SMS notifications stating that my services will be disconnected. This is extremely concerning, especially after finally receiving clarification on my account. This level of service, poor communication, and inconsistent handling of customer queries is unacceptable. It genuinely feels like there is a lack of care for clients.
Vodacom has the most disgusting and disrespectful customer service. For the past few months i've been complaining about data connectivity in our complex Horn-Bill Crest In Orchards. On teh 4th June i posted review here, one their consultant called to say my ticket has been logged with networking team, to my surprise flowing morning i get sms saying my ticket has been resolved. I dont know how they resolved it without calling me first to comfirm, to make it worse they never even botheres to ask my location. i even went to twitter all they good in saying is send us your contact details and not even one person calls. I made it clear on my 1st post i only experience problems in my complex.To make matters worse i have two contacts with vodacom. I have a data contact with vodacom and cellphone contract , since December my data connectivity in my house and complex has been more that terrible, i have to reboot my ****le 30 times a day. But as soon as i step out out my house and complex everything works. i called vodacom may times with no help, i even communicated with the on twitter but no luck. other networks are working in my house except vodacom. what should one do if not getting any help. On Monday i called to arrange my fnb card delivery, gave them my reference number and updated my contact details for delivery. It happened that the consultant captured my numbers incorrectly. I then called again on Tuesday to give them right numbers, told them to call me when they arrive on Wednesday they never called. i then called again to make Thursday arrange still same story. I then called on Thursday to make Friday arrangement , they did not come. I called again today 31/01/2020 only to find out that no arrangement has been made. This is unacceptable i called from Monday till Friday still no delivery
On Thursday the 5th of December i made an application on line for a new contract with vodacom, today ram wanted to deliver my device but because i only have my licence they could not deliver, RAM then advised that i should call vodacom to give them authorization to give me my parcel with my drivers licence. From 10am I've been trying to call Vodacom, but the service has been more than horrible. I called about 5 times they put me on hold for 20 minutes then drop the line. At some point of their consultant gave am AVT 1575973995484 for me to give it to RAM, when i called ram they told me it doesn't reflect on their system, i then called vodacom again put on hold for 30 minutes without any assistance. This irritating, I've been with vodacom since 2007 with multiple contract and in august i collected my device with only my ID. Can i get help
So multi choice decided to disconnect my account 75335050 while i don't owe them anything , my account is up to date. i called their call center, agent who was assisting tried anything he can to assist but it was out his hands, The irritating part about this is that the manager who supposed to re-connect me is no where to be found, is this how they treat us?Manager during working hours no where to be found, This is unacceptable .Im being inconvenienced because of their incompetence
Last year August i upgraded my data contract i have with Vodacom. The contract amount was R209 for 24 months, but to my surprise for 3 Months vodacom debited me R259 , I dont know why. To make it worse not a single person from vodacom called me regarding this. On the 27 Of March i called Vodacom to esquire about this, the consultant gave me a reference number :1- ********** ********** and said they will call me back to sort it out, after a week no has bothered calling me. I even contacted them on their twitter paged they again promised to call me but nothing. i gave me my data contract number ********** 766 and the number they can contact me on ********** 715 This for me is fraud, when a certain amount is advertised and different amount is debited, terrible service
On the 30th mo June my data contract ended with Vodacom, i chose to continue with is because for the past 2 years i was able to use my 2 gig properly not go over the allocated amount. To my sad disappointment when i logged vodacom website to see what upgrade option i can take i was shocked to see that my account will be debited with R800 end of August. I found this very FRUSTRATING that now all of sudden my contract ended the bill goes so horribly up. What makes it sad is the fact that i was not told that once my data reached 2Gig it will continue charging, more sadly I've been a loyal customer of Vodacom for years now having had multiple contracts with them, no one from their accounts bothered to send me email or text to let me know that im now being charged out of bundle, they have my email address and other vodacom mobile as i have been with the for log time. This to me robbery. Why this happens all of sudden once my contract has expired? <br> <br> Dear vodacom please note im one loyal customer who is dissapointed . I've been trying to get hold of your billing department with no luck. This is horrible. where will i take such money???i feel robbed as a customer
