Since it's Woman's Month and OB turns 30 Years, we went for lunch Sunday 10/08/2025. We had a bit of a wait but the service and food we received was absolutely awesome. Taufeeq is a true & genuine people's person! The place was busing with activity but the entire staff put shoulder to the wheel. The quality of the seafood, fish and sauces did not disappoint! Well Done OB Kenilworth Centre!
I placed an order 22/07/2025 The item was then out of stock and I received an email that money will be refunded. It's now 30/07/2025 Still nothing. I was asked to confirm banking letter of account, ID and proof of payment. Today I receive a msg they're still waiting on POP. Seriously!!!! On the day of the purchase I was told item out of stock and refund to follow and now all these requirements to verify the refund. My last Makro purchase!
On Tuesdays this store has GREAT deals. Fresh Fruit & Veg 50% off. I've never been limited eg. ordering 3 x 1kg onions etc. Bananas without a spot, everything is just so fresh. I am so impressed by their quality & prices. I have it delivered to work in Pinelands and paying delivery is much cheaper than me having to drive, find parking, buying unnecessary items. Definitely one of my fav stores.
I Previously (not long ago) vented about the collection service at Belgravia & Kromboom Road branches. We collect from them as the delivery system is not up to scratch. Belgravia Road I give a miss as parking is non existent and the waiting on a PAID order is the same as ordering in the store. However, I used the Kromboom Road branch on Saturday and considering it's month end, I was informed 15 minutes and it was READY IN 15 MINUTES! Thanks to staff who make s good service possible.
The food is great but the ordering system is bad! You place your order online and have a time frame. Then you get there, you're still having to wait and it's a comedy of errors. Then the person you're collecting from still tells you that you're late and next time they will sell your order! Are you for real. Waiting 30minutes before you get to the counter and then get attitude! The food I'll give 5stars but the service - 2 Both Belgravia Road and Kromboom has the same problem.
I've been using this company for a number of years. I've never been disappointed. It's the gift that keeps on giving. I buy packages when it's on special and can upload withing 6 months. It's my go-to when I don't know what to give somebody who has everything! I love that they keep you updated throughout the entire process.
My bank account was cleared out during the night. 30 June went shopping and insufficient funds error at the till. Called the bank and reported it. Received a reference number and promised feedback 48hrs later. Went into the bank 2 days later. Again, we will let you know. Meanwhile there's hundreds of people's accounts that's been cleared and Standard Bank being silent about the *****ulent transactions. I have proof of holding on for 3 hours without my call being answered but they were quick to call because the car's debit order bounced. Bear in mind it's financed by Standard Bank. SO WHEN ARE WE GETTING OUR MONEY BACK!!! MY CREDIT SCORE IS AFFECTED, WHO WILL BE PAYING THE BANK CHARGES FOR ALL THE BOUNCED DEBIT ORDERS AND WHY DON'T THEY ADMIT THAT THEIR SYSTEMS WERE HACKED! I think all Standard bank customers who lost their money should band together and bring a lawsuit against them.
Last week my entire roads electricity went off except it wasn't loadshedding. We contacted COCT but they couldn't give us a time when we would be reconnected. 48hrs and the chest freezer and 2 refrigerators were defrosting as it was hot. Lodged a call with Momentum and miss Banele Msiza called me. She took details and I received an email with the requirements to complete. I gave a rough estimate but Banele probably listed contents of photos I sent. Today, she called me to verify bank account. Ms Banele Msiza, You've done Momentum proud. Would not change to another insurer, that you can believe!
