I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Chicken Licken Fly Thru in Vereeniging. Every time I place an order, the food is fresh, flavourful, and consistently prepared to a high standard… they never disappoint. Ordering via the Mr D app is seamless, and staff demonstrate commendable attention to detail, ensuring every order is accurate and satisfying. This reliability and care transform a simple meal into a consistently excellent experience. In a world where fast food often sacrifices quality for speed, this outlet stands out for its dedication to both flavour and customer satisfaction. I am truly grateful for their service and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking fresh, consistently delicious fried chicken.
I genuinely love the products from Faithful to Nature. The quality, the values behind the brand, and the variety of natural products available are exactly why I have continued to support this company. However, the delivery experience has become a serious problem. My recent order was marked “out for delivery” on Tuesday. I waited the entire day, only to receive a call from the driver at 6:50 PM asking for my location. After sending it, there was no follow-up until I called back myself and was told the parcel would now be delivered the following day. On Wednesday morning I again received the notification that my parcel was out for delivery. Wednesday came and went with no delivery, no call, and no communication. At this point, it is now Thursday and I still have not received my parcel. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had issues with deliveries handled by DPD Laser/Dawn Wing. Previous experiences have also involved delays, poor communication, and unprofessional behaviour from drivers. This is extremely disappointing because Faithful to Nature itself is a fantastic company with products I genuinely enjoy purchasing. However, the courier experience is beginning to overshadow the positive aspects of ordering online. I say this as a loyal customer: it may be worth reviewing the courier partnerships being used. A brand with such high standards for its products deserves a delivery experience that reflects the same level of professionalism. I would truly hate to stop ordering from Faithful to Nature because of ongoing courier issues.
DPD Laser has managed to turn what should be a very simple process (delivering a parcel) into an exercise in frustration and utter incompetence. My parcel was scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. I waited the entire day, only to receive a call from the driver at 6:50 PM asking for my location. I sent it immediately. After that, there was complete silence for 40 minutes until I called him back myself, only to be casually informed that the parcel would now be delivered the following day. Wednesday morning I received the standard “out for delivery” message. Wednesday came and went. No parcel. No call. No explanation. It is now Thursday and there has been absolutely no communication whatsoever. My package has simply disappeared into the DPD Laser black hole. What makes this particularly infuriating is that this is not my first experience with this company. During a previous delivery from Clicks, the drivers behaved in a way that was deeply inappropriate and wildly unprofessional, attempting to be flirtatious and making the entire interaction uncomfortable before finally handing over the parcel. That experience alone was enough for me to decide I would never order from Clicks online again if this courier service was involved. Unfortunately, I have encountered similar issues again while ordering from Faithful to Nature — a company whose products I genuinely love. It is baffling that a retailer known for quality would continue to partner with a courier service that operates with such a remarkable lack of professionalism, reliability, or basic communication. A courier company has exactly one job: deliver the parcel when promised. With DPD Laser, even that minimal expectation appears to be far too ambitious. If you value your time, your patience, or the basic expectation of receiving something you paid for, prepare yourself accordingly. This is, without exaggeration, one of the most disorganised and profoundly disappointing courier experiences I have ever encountered
MCDONALD’s THREE RIVERS…. This is the third time I’ve given this McDonald’s branch a chance, and I’m officially done. The nuggets are consistently half-cooked. Not slightly under — properly undercooked. That’s not just poor quality, it’s unacceptable. The McFlurry? Always watery and badly made. It’s like no one checks what they’re serving. What makes this worse is that the McDonald’s in the CBD gets it right every single time. Same brand, completely different standards. The only reason I kept trying this branch is because it’s literally around the corner. Now I’d rather drive to the CBD or specifically select the CBD branch on the Mr D app than risk wasting my money again. I’ve also heard similar complaints from someone else, so this clearly isn’t just a one-off experience. At this point, I won’t be stepping foot — or even driving — to this branch again. Convenience means nothing if the food quality and basic standards aren’t there.
Second visit—and once again, absolutely stellar. The service? Truly out of this world. My first visit was with my partner, and the second with family, having raved to them about the place for weeks. The food? Utterly delicious. Perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour. And yes, I’ll say it again—the service is exceptional. Warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. It’s the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. I’ll gladly keep going back, time and time again.
Utterly dismal! The buns were dry enough to qualify as building material, and the service was equally lifeless—aloof, disinterested, and entirely forgettable. One expects more from a place that dares to call itself a saloon. Regrettably, this was neither satisfying nor remotely pleasant. Avoid, if you value your time or taste buds. No chance of me returning.
As a Vaal-based individual who genuinely wishes to support local establishments, I must express my deep disappointment with Graze. On multiple occasions, I’ve encountered staff who are not only discourteous but seem visibly irritated by the very presence of customers — which is both unacceptable and disheartening. This wasn’t an isolated incident, and I’ve now reached the point where I can say with cer*****y: I will never be returning. The lack of professionalism and hospitality is astonishing. It’s unfortunate, but I’d much rather take my custom elsewhere — even if it means venturing further afield to the North. Local businesses thrive on community support, but respect is a two-way street. Graze has let me down far too many times, and I’ve had enough.
I’m referring to the Dullstroom branch. I experienced discriminatory behavior at this store. I felt unwelcome, and it was clear there was a negative attitude toward Black customers. This made for an uncomfortable and disappointing experience. It’s 2024, guys. Stop this nonsense.
