Windowart who do window tinting/covering for homes insist you pay 100% UPFRONT then they book you a time to do the job. So if your not happy, they have your money. I made the offer of 70% upfront and on day of completion, the balance of 30%. They treat all customers as ****** and attitude " Our way or the highway " I took the latter.
BE VERY CAREFUL. Useless support, NO telephone number on the website contact section which should have been enough for me. They do multiple charges to your credit card WITHOUT your authority, they take DAYS to come back to you when you email them.I have requested my bank to withdraw credit card facilities from them. No trust.
They collected my Samsung Wine cooler fridge, returned it a week later, a bill for R1400.............five days later it stopped working again, they collected it for ANOTHER week, returned it, it worked for 4 days and now I am going to Samsung........Bergens don't keep in touch, their technicians are untrained in my view ( seat of the pants operators ) Don't recommend them AT ALL !!!!
Actually, doesn't even get one star. Nedbank, the SA issuers of American Express card division in SA are completely out of touch with their customers. I have reported a *****ulent transaction which is over a month old and still not a word from ***** division. I called and spoke to : Angel Lungile V****ha Reddy Dante Mark Pillay Brian Kirana Rori Sehoole Gugu Mthetwa None of the above can tell me who is the GM of American Express card division, isnt that frightening that bosses at Amex dont want to be accessed by customers !!!! I even asked to speak to the Secty of Nedbank CEO, Jason Quinn, I called Nedbank's Head Office number : 011-294-4444 and they said they dont have Jason Quinn's number !!!!!! Get any money you have in Nedbank out . In my 38 years as a Gold cardholder, NEDBANK has lost touch you can only talk to a call centre and they are lazy and useless. American Express Intl cards should take away the license from Nedbank to operate the card in SA.
In my review I mentioned payment must be made upfront. In reading AGAIN the quotation the full payment upfront was only mandatory if I wanted to have a 5% discount, otherwise just 80% payable and balance upon completion. My apologies. The job has been concluded successfully. I would happily use Rain Irrigation again. Thank you Christo.
I have to share they did come and sort out the issues and very promptly.
I called Rain Irrigation to do a re-installation. They came out and checked what needed to be done and sent me an estimate for 13K, ALL OF WHICH MUST BE PAID UPFRONT. They sent a gent out who did the re-installation one of the circuits then after they left leaked profusely. They sent the same person back who said the one faulty circuit was stuck causing the leaking. When I a day later wanted to show my gardener the system that same circuit doesn't work at all. I called Mr Oosthuizen back and he said he would send the same guy out again, BUT it probably wont be this week. Moral of the story, if asked to pay 100% upfront move on.
I have been with Marsh/Discovery Insure for the last 17 years, all of which have been an absolute pleasure. Melissa, who looks after our profile, has been there every step of the way. In the 17 years I have had about 6 or 7 claims, most relatively minor, but the essence of this feedback is, each time I call Melissa and its handles so professionally. The last claim was a larger one and as usual Melissa walked me through the process with an abundance of transparency and understanding, almost to the extent you feel bad about claiming !!!..............thanks Melissa, you are a credit to the Discovery Insure team and thank you for always being there for us with all the right knowledge and efficiency. My medical and household and vehicle Insure for our household all handled by DISCOVERY. A great Team you have Adrian Gore.
The entire process was well orchestrated and great staff.
