I was turned away when applying for a passport and told to make an appointment. I could only get ons a month later. I was given a parking spot because I am a 71 year old pensioner. I app**** and received sms a week later telling me to collect my passport. AI said I did not need an appointment. Website was down so I couldnt confirm. When I arrived I was refused parking even though there wasplenty of parking "because the owner said so". They also refused that I collect my passport because I dont have an appointment. Dozens of peoplle waiting long time to be helped by only one person outside. Website still down and the phone number on the sms not working. I am fed up to say the least
Sanral requires new credit card details but neither the link on their letter nor the website works, so I cant log in to update. I tried the email address provided but the adress is a link to the website that doesn't work. When I called the call centre the lady was unsympathetic and told me to drive to the call centre to register the new card. Really?!!? This is not the first time they have made it unbelievably difficult for me.
Pick n pay Faerie Glen is a cause of frustration. I have driven to the shop 5 consecutive times and have not been able to purchase what was advertised. Reasons given: (1) Only valid the next day (3 days after it was advertised). (2) out of stock - 3 out of 5 times (3) only available at supermarkets (supermarkets at Menlyn and others are unaware of this and referred me to the Hypermarket. (4) wrongly marked/another product. I am miffed at Pick n Pay and refuse to drive to the Hypermarket again after driving there for nothing 5 times one after another - consecutive drives. It is cheaper and easier and less frustrating to buy at a higher price at checkers or Spar if petrol is taken into account. I am not surprised that Pick n Pay are struggling to survive and closing shops with this sort of service.
Nedbank is unable to change the pin of my American Express debit card. I have been to the Menlyn branch 6 times for help, without success. The new pin only works at the autoteller. It does not work at any business. So I have 2 (TWO) pins for the same card and cannot change that. I called the Nedbank call centre and spoke to the American Express card division who reset the card with the same result. I have given up all hope for Nedbank's ability to solve the problem. I have received 2 new cards to try and solve the problem. No dice.
I shopped at PNP Menlyn, and forgot an item at the till. When I returned a month later, the teller recognised me and even remembered what the item was that I had forgotten there. This is truly exceptional!! Thousands of customers and she not only remembered my face, but also the item I had left. I am so sorry that I had forgotten the lady's name. She really deserves credit from her employer.
As landlord, Johnlee has meant a lot to me over the past 14 years. They handle all the problems and regularly do inspections of properties - before and after each rental contract. They always take photo's of everything and so everything is on record in case of dispute regarding maintenance, deposits, etc. I only have one small issue: Repairs and maintenance by the company they use are quite expensive. With that sole exception, I can highly recommend Johnlee properties.
I bought 4x 6pack Spar brand long life milk from Spar Moreleta Square. When I opened them, they were not off but were almost totally water with just a very slight hint of milk. BB date is 29 Oct 2022. I complained to the store but they refused to replace the milk because I no longer had the till slip. It seems the ideal way of dodging responsibility for their products. Who keeps all the slips for products purchased that long? (Several weeks)
I bought an iPhone 11 from the Woodlands iStore. My iPhone SE trade in, according to their computer which I saw, was R4500. The agent told me that if I wanted a charging cable. they would subtract that amount from the trade in price, but neglected to put that on the invoice. The trade in was listed as R4350. The cable that came with the phone is of no use to me because it does not have a USB. When I asked for a cable that fits my iPhone charger,I was told that I needed to pay a further R399 for an adapter. Why make me pay for (which they now deny) a cable that is of no use to me? They are also not willing to give me a refund for the cable. I no longer trust this business and certainly wil not do business with them again - especially in the light of the fact that I could get the same phone from Takealot at substantially less. But I thought I would get better service from iStore, which I didn't.
I got a friendly and cheerful reception at Pretoria East hospital's Ampath clinic. My veins are very difficult to find in order to draw blood but Lindiwe found one with no trouble. A quick and relatively painless procedure. I won't go anywhere else in future. She is a credit to Ampath and they are fortunate to have such a skilled person in their service.
After struggling for 40 minutes with Nedbanks call centre with no results, I got hold of David Ntimbane from Nedbank Menlyn Park branch. He was patient and in no tie my problem was solved. Well done, David! Nedbank should be proud of you.
