I have nothing but high praise for this business. I have done three orders so to make sure that the first one was not just a fluke. Thank you for being a beacon in this bleak business climate. I think this is the first I’ve ever logged on to this thing to say something good in 12 years.
I made an offer to purchase a house in May 2022, little did I know it was held by ABSA Trust and they have made a complete ****show out of something I was told would take six weeks at maximum. At the core of this mess are two of the most incompetent people I’ve seen in a long time named Akhona Williams and Blessing Ndou. There isn’t a curse potent enough for this imbeciles. These two have caused so many delays based on lack of diligence that almost 8 months later, I’m essentially homeless, renting accommodation at the hospital I work with no ending in sight. This house doesn’t feel real anymore. Right now, they are waiting for entomologist and electrical clearance certificates that should have been prepared before the house was put on the market. The deed of the house is lost. I wish I could go back and tell myself not to get involved with these scam artists.
My partner Thabang financed an Audi A4 through Wesbank and was approached by Motovantagd, ap sham of a company to extend the motor plan who clearly work in partnership with Wesbank and got his details from them. He faithfully paid his premiums and his car developed an issue recently and needed to be taken in for repairs because of a water pump issue. He spoke to Annamarie van der berg. Motovantage first fabricated that the car is over 100k km in mileage, when it’s demonstrably only 87k, and then claimed that the car has missed a service, and THAT is the new reason they are cancelling the plan but Audi confirms that the car has never missed any service. There’s only one explanation, they are trying to avoid honouring their contract and I’ve seen at least one similar report just from that TODAY from this company. This is disgusting and dishonourable. They even had the audacity to offer to refund his premiums!!! Here’s the biggest outrage, on their final letter they wrote that HE cancelled the plan when it was them who cancelled it. At every turn they have shown themselves to be nothing more than duplicitous cowards and you MUST NOT CONTRACT WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. We are are approaching the ombudsman with this matter because this is a complete scam and if we can stop one person falling victim it will be enough for us. Wesbank is secondarily at fault for working with a company like this. Partnering with them gives them Wesbank’s seal of approval and this is not the kind of business you associate with looked like a reputable financial institution

I'm going to minimise swearing because these assholes deserve worse than that. I had a business that I shut down and one of the medical aids I partnered with claimed I owed them R649 that I didn't know about and they referred it to MBD. I paid the money on May the 2nd 2019. I expected the calls to stop and they said no, I owed R80 on interest, I paid that on the May 13th. I have all the documentation. I thought the harassment would stop and it did for a while, then in June that year, the SAME THING. They were claiming the R80 I had already paid. I was not having it, I spoke to a supervisor, Eugenia Zondo, who apologised and said it was a system fault and said she would sort it out. The calls stopped for one month and started to again, got the last three years or so I simply ignored them. Just for fun I decided to answer them and they say now I owe them R458 for legal fees 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Whether they fix this or not have been reported to the authorities. I'm sure they get away with this **** all the time but not this time.
I was the victim of impersonation where an unknown individual opened a Kulula credit card in my name with documents so fake that they would barely pass for a cellphone contract let alone a credit card. I first got wind of this when I received an email of an FNB employee (Katlego.Molote@fnb.co.za) in which he/she says the documents that had been submitted for the application were insufficient and that FICA required a certified copy of my ID for the application to proceed. I was shocked because attached to this email was an uncertified copy of my ID and a Telkom account bill which was clearly photoshopped, where my cellphone number was edited on in a different font (this number is from a cell c contract and was never associated with Telkom at any point, the Telkom account was for a router and data contract), the date sitting randomly in white space in a different font. I sent my own email to Katlego Molote telling them that I did not make this application and asked them to help sort it out. I also phoned FNB fraud line and the consultant told me that as there was no card or open account, I would not be able to report anything, they advised me to report the matter to the fraud protection service. I made a report of this and a Vodacom incident with the SA fraud protection service (SAFPS) and they flagged my ID. Incidentally around the same time I got a call from Coricroft, Nedbank and later ABSA saying someone was using obviously fake documents to apply for credit in my name. Yet FNB approved this credit card with a proof of residence that couldn't POSSIBLY comply with FICA considering how much trouble you as a legitimate owner of a bank account can face with FICA renewal. I assumed that FNB couldn't have granted the card but on June the first my real bank got a debit order for a whopping 87 grand that didn't go through, because as a normal person, I wouldn't have 87 thousand rand lying about in a bank account. I thought it must have been a mistake that rectified itself then on the first of July I got a debit order for R10,518 and that went through. I reversed it, called FNB and made a report and got a reference number Rq1907013933 and they said they would suspend the account and investigate. As I was sending the affidavit they asked for, my bank got debited for the same amount from the Kulula credit card under different code, the same account that they said would be suspended. I have reversed it again. Luckily Standard Bank still knows how to provide banking services. This whole issues would be hilarious if it weren't so serious. I want there to be accountability from FNB's side for allowing this travesty to happen. From these debit orders I estimate they must have lent this person over a hundred thousand rand and they didn't have to go to any branch in person and provided ridiculously scanty documents as support. I believe this must be a FICA violation of some sort. I want this Katlego Molote to be accountable for not responding to my email and not following up when they somehow (I don't know how) stumbled on my real email address and not the one the fraudster set up. I have sent the affidavit to FNB and I want them to explain why they attempted to debit funds from me for an account that was reported as fraudulent and should have been suspended pending investigation 2 days before. Where any of this will happen is anyone's guess.
In August 2015 I bought a Hyundai i10 as a second vehicle and part of what made the deal attractive is that it came with its original service plan plus the warranty - not as an additional extra. I tried to have the car serviced at Hyundai recently and I was informed that the car is NOT under a service plan and I'd have to pay for the major service in cash. I phoned the manager, Mr Kaber who is also the salesperson behind this farce and he's told me that he offered me a service plan as an extra, which I rejected, a statement that has two problems: 1: this is my second car and I know that I would NEVER agree to buying a car without a service plan. 2: it would not have been necessary to offer it, I have no memory of that. Luckily, the operations manager of the company I work for was helping me to procure the vehicle as a personal favour and she distinctly remembers that the salesperson stated that the car still has its original service plan and warranty because she was also conferring with another auto & pedigree salesperson on my behalf and that it's what they discussed. He even told me that I could bring the car to A&P for servicing, and when I called he curly told me they couldn't.
