Standard Bank mobiles support services are absolutely pathetic. I have been trying to register/login on their website and no one can assist me. They send me a username indicating that I am obviously already on their system only for them to reply later and tell me that I do not have an active profile. You cannot speak to a manager or supervisor when phoning their support line. They take over a week to respond to escalated support queries...more than 48 working hours and no response from the escalated query. Here I want to give them my money for a device however they do not want it. The mind boggles!
These companies are all run by the same people: Go Ortus, Meridian Fund, My Travelution, Nexus Group, Onyx Group, Reliance Benefit Fund, SA Reignite Travel, Vacation Hub International, VHI. After previously posting a review, the review was removed as the company now appears to be reporting their bad reviews on HelloPeter. The company is in breach of the of ECTA and more recently POPI. Have no idea where they bought their information...
I applied for an account online and all went well, documents submitted and everything confirmed over the phone. I received an SMS saying to take my ID to the nearest store to collect my card. Even the bank accepts drivers licenses as ID but Totalsports doesn't. They said they need the original ID provided on the application so they can match the picture. I had a copy of my ID book on my phone which could be used to compare the picture and check that I am who I said I was by matching the ID numbers between my physical drivers license and the digital copy of my ID book but they would have none of it. Cannot quite fathom why a drivers license is not considered proof of ID. The SMS should then state please bring your ID BOOK or ID CARD as we do not accept drivers license as a form of ID.
My cheque card came up for renewal. Unlike previously where I was contacted to find out to which branch I would like the card to be delivered, the card was automatically just sent to the last branch where I collected the card. I received an SMS to say the card was there and ready for collection. Instead of having an information desk where these cards used to be collected at your Blue Route mall branch, the new branch requires everyone to join the same line regardless of what they are there for. After more than 40 minutes of waiting, I was not assisted by one of the normal assistants but the the person manning the front desk telling customers where to join the one and only line. It then took the them almost 20 minutes to issue and activate the new card. This was a basic new card to replace the other one expiring...other bank deliver this to your door and one can activate it themselves through online channels. Finally after a whole hour I was able to leave with the new card. This is absolutely ridiculous. Thank heavens that I will only need to dedicate an hour every 5 years for this...oh wait, I have a second card...FML when that one comes up for renewal.
Company phones from a private number and somehow has my name and surname. When I asked them where they obtained my information, they first ignore the question and then say it was via a referral. I asked them who the referral was but they couldn't provide that information either as they said they do not know. They went on to say that as I stay in specific city(They mentioned the city, but had it wrong) I qualify for free travel blah blah. When I told them I do not live in the city they have mentioned, they then wanted to know where I live. I told them I would not give them this information....at this they ended the call. Very sure of this being a scam. I have searched all over online for them however can find no reference except for the HP reviews. Surprisingly based on reviews they seem to have disappeared for a few years(I'm guessing they tried operating under a different name) and then came back into the picture at the beginning of 2021 when they registered their domain name with Xneelo. Using web s****ing tools to try find any email address for them comes up with nothing and their website is just a landing page saying their site is under maintenance. BIG ALARM BELLS!
First they supplied the wrong item, then they process a refund to a card after I have already informed them that it no longer exists and the account is closed. They ask for banking details in a suspicious email in which they CC somone's @gmail.com email address. I supply the banking details and now they say well we processed the refund to the card. They are a bunch of thieves. Do not order anything from them!
Purchased a digital calendar which was advertised as providing humidity and temperature indications as well as weather trend. Product received does not provide the functionality it was advertised to.
Thank you to Tsepo for assisting me with my telephone query today and providing great service. Much appreciated.
When placing my order, the item showed as in stock in CPT and the order confirmation email indicated that delivery is estimated by 17 November. A further check afterwards indicated that the stock had been allocated to the order. When checking up on the order a bit later, the website showed that the item is out of stock with the supplier, the expected shipping date on the order had been changed to 22 November and the expected date of delivery changed to 24 November. I then contacted Takealot support via email and specifically asked for them to confirm that they would be able to source stock of this item to which they replied that they do not have stock however that the "promise" delivery date would now be 24 November. Now, after this response and a "promise" of delivery, a day later an email is sent saying they do not have stock so they have credited my account. I find it amusing that the most recent other complaint they have received on HelloPeter relates to the same thing happening to some other poor sucker. #outofstock
