HyperNovel technology solutions are not solving anything. They are simply making life more difficult.
We have make our lives so complicated by using every new technological advance. AND NONE OF THEM WORK. We have no cel signal in our area. We do have satellite wifi. Yet I cannot shop online anymore because SMS messages from FNB come some 8 hours after I've requested an OTP. Standard Bank Card never sends an email confirmation of my account. So this vaunted online digital world we are now forced to use. IS A WASTE OF MY TIME.

My Bank Manager is simply terrific!
Marda Hunter, our manager at Lamberts Bay is the sole reason I still have my account after more than 50 years. She confirms to me that relationships and personal contact are more important than ever in this over complicated hyper novel tech focussed world we live in. Please Standard Bank, don't lose touch with reality.

Takealot don't care about customers.
Takealot did not deliver my parcel, but claimed I had signed for it. This is dishonest. This is the third re-schedule they have done because the delivery man is too lazy to find my place. I have been forced to travel 12kilometers to pick up packages, this time only to find they have not bothered to drop it at a local hotel. Takealot have a no care attitude and are unpleasant to deal with .. Roll on Amazon once they get their act together.

Mossop Leather factory shop is worth the journey to find.
On a whim, I looked up leather suppliers online and found Mossop Leather in Wellington. Having been at school with a relative of the original founding family, I took a chance and made an appointment to visit the factory shop. On a sweltering day I found Roy September in his tiny office filled with hides of varying colours and types. All I wanted was enough to make a steering wheel cover for my new old Jeep. You'd think I was going to buy the shop. Nothing was too much trouble, and after half an hour discovering the history of the business, I walked away with a perfectly cut section of lovely hide. If more businesses took so much trouble over small customers like me, the world would be a better place.

Standard Bank has lost its way.
Unfortunately Standard Bank has become so paranoic about *****, that once bitten twice three four .. times shy ..despite the efforts of my local branch, I have left them after more than 50 years because their system doesn't work unless you live in a city.

Takealot is being let down by their payment options.
Takealot is a great company, but they are being let down by the payment systems like PayFast and Ozow. Maybe it's load shedding problems, but I've had to cancel orders often recently and it makes buying online too difficult.
