My first service under this Service plan policy The circumstances surrounding this matter was as follows: I was going on a trip to Botswana and Namibia, total distance 6,500km. My first service with Motovantage fell in that period that I was on that trip out of the country. I decided to have my service done early to avoid being late for my first service, also ensuring that my vehicle was prepared for the long trip. I fail to see the logic of Motorite management to decline payment for the service citing that the service was too early. I paid for the service and tried to claim. Which was of course was a major one. If servicing your vehicle early is such an issue, especially if its the first one under the policy, I cannot see why the dates of the policy cannot be shifted on to the next policy and I then service the vehicle exactly on time.
Beaufort West needs a serious look at their public relations. I was stopped at a road block entering the town. I was fined R500 for not displaying the license disc on my baggage trailer. Not for speeding or driving dangerously. Very friendly traffic officers who understood the circumstances why the disc was not displayed. On advice of the officer, within a week of getting back to Johannesburg I sent a copy of the fine and a copy of the valid license disc to the Traffic Court Prosecutor. I received a reply where the fine was reduced from R500 to R400. As a pensioner this is , in my opinion, excessive for an infringement of this nature. I have passed through Beaufort West many times in the past 50 years and lately at least eight times per year. I spend on average R1,500 on fuel and in the shops. Sometimes , if I can, I overnight in one of the lovely accommodations which is extra. This incident has left a bad taste and I will seriously reconsider stopping in Beaufort West again. I have paid the fine. Kind Regards Ken Bezuidenhout.
I have a Hisense microwave oven applience. After 3 years the coating inside the oven, under the rotating table started pealing off. Now the microwave has burnt a hole through the base of the oven rendering the oven dangerous. I do not expect structural failure to occur in a micro wave. As a pensioner, I now have to find money to replace the oven even though the microwave parts are still working.
I had the pleasure of shopping in PNA at Mall Of Africa. I had a list of items that I required but no idea of where to locate them in the shop. I was standing with a confused look on my pensioner face when I was approached by a friendly young assistant and was accompanied to all the products that I was looking for. Even at the pay point I was greeted by a friendly person that genuinely looked as if she enjoyed working there. What a great shopping experience.
Looks like I have been scammed out of R3,000 for day old chicken order. Dam I am upset, wish I could get hold of them. Should have seen in the company name, getting RICH out of U
Rented a car from Budget Car Hire on 07 Sept 2020 returned on 21 Sept 2020. Date now 09 Oct 2020 and still no return of deposit. No issues with condition of vehicle when returned. No answer when trying to call the call center, no answer from Budget office at Grand Central, Midrand where we hired the car. Really bad service.
Went to Builders Warehouse Centurian on 29 July to purchase a PVC gutter. Specially on a Wednesday because I get pensioners discount. I stood in a queue to order the gutter for 20 minutes without moving. Upset I left the store and went to another hardware store down the road, I was in and out of the gate with my goods within 10 minutes. I will refrain from purchasing building materials from this store in future.
I sent my vehicle Hyundai Tucson for a gearbox repair. The quotation was more than I could afford and I requested the return of my vehicle. The vehicle was returned minus the battery. I furnished Sparklight Gearboxes with a receipt of my newly purchased battery which was still under guarantee. An old, non functional battery was sent to me. Despite numerous requests, my calls are being ignored.
