I have a home loan with Nedbank since 2003. Took a further bond in 2019. Got a phone call from Nedank Brits to say my interest rate will increase as I do not have my personal bank account with Nedank. This has never been the case before and was not a condition when taking the bond. Today 2/10/2024 I got a letter showing the new installment - even though the repo rate came down the letter does not reflect the lower interest rate and installment. Spent most of my day yesterday trying to get hold of someone - they kept referring me back to Lizzy at Nedbank Brits. Will be cancelling my bond (as soon as I find the correct email address to send the notice to).
As per call today to HOC insurance - Ceiling damages were repaired by Relefilwe construction (appointed by ABSA). One ceiling board was replaced and painted, brander and cornice as well as the rest of the ceiling was left unpainted and stained by the water damage. The construction company was given the number of the tenant to gain access to the property. They and ABSA decided that that meant the tenant has authority to approve the workmanship!! Light fitting was not put back as the paint was wet and they arranged with the tenant to put it back. Phoning ABSA to ask how is this construction company approved and how are they paid without my authority - Im put on a conference call with the construction company to sort out my own problem with them. My question on how the company was approved for ABSA's panel still remains unanswered. The construction company states they should be allowed a second chance to do the repairs, they got a chance in the first place to do quality work. Further I was called till 18:42 last night for the excess, after requesting an invoice and not receiving one!! If you are buying a house and it is bonded with ABSA - get your own insurance or be disappointed often.
Policy premium after 10 years went up from R8900 to R12900 without any notice. This is apparently standard practice. If you have a liberty policy for 10 years BEWARE
Susan Winter and Team give excellent service and makes every purchase a priority. They are knowledgeable in their field and always have good advice.
You can never pay your account in advance. Installment of R90 - paid by eft of R200 beginning of March as well as R90 cash in store. Got a call from a very arrogant and rude person, celeste, on Easter Monday at 15h41 - my account is in arrears as I didn't make a payment beginning of April - explained and she could see the payments made - still insisted my account is in arrears. Phoned customer service on Tuesday 11th - 3 times - eventually somebody saw the light and apologized and confirmed that the INTEREST charged would be reversed. I wanted statements sent to my email and requested this by email. To date nothing!!! While sending the email I noticed that in 2015 I had the very same complaint about being in advance. NEVER PAY MORE THAN YOU SHOULD
Flood damage occurred in December. Eventually the claim was approved. 13/2 Michael Mlambo sent documents through for a cash settlement. After phoning daily I eventually (fortunately) got through to Refiloe Mogotsi who found that additional information was needed (proof of bank account ect) - not requested on the 13/2. On the 2/3 all the documents were sent back. Till today I have not been paid out or sent any confirmation. The whole house was flooded and having to sleep in the sitting room as the carpets smell, I have other properties that got damaged on the same day. luckily not with ABSA insurance. These claims were sorted and damages repaired early in January already. Just proves that ABSA insurance does not have your best interest at heart. Pathetic to put it nicely.
Kelvin is most helpful. Towbars are quality and fitment is excellent.
Price on google and website is R645 - price in the store is R745. Tried to purchase on the app and the app says there is no stock at the store where I just was and they kept the item at customer care. Medic shower chair with back.
