From day one we received excellent service from Afrihost. Troubleshoot on app logged. Requested call back. Within 30 seconds my phone rang. Consultant stayed on the line till the issue was fixed and I was happy!!!
****MERS!!! After reading the previous reviews I realised that we were about to be ****med too. I double checked the invoice. No Registration number. No VAT number. No Banking details. Address is ****. Only 1 person answers the phone - Ava. All calls are recorded - till you ask for the recordings. Not available. Banking details are on email, not on invoice.
I placed an online order. Received a "processing notification with order number & Banking details" Replied to the email that stated: Reply to this email with the proof of payment. Only after I called to confirm collection of courier, I was told no one attends that email. My order has not been received. BUT I have an Order number on email received from them and a proof of payment. When requesting a refund, I was told a R50 penalty will be deducted. That is what I call BS!
As a Loyal, non-claiming client the moment you want to claim, you get ZERO respect in return. I'm supposed to be able to be put in the same position as before, or better. My SAMSUNG Flatscreen is no longer on the market, the next available is Samsung is R8999.00 Discovery gives me a voucher for R4999.00 - I understand there is a R1000 co-payment, but what an INSULT to get R4999 for a "new replacement" That's less than 30'' TV to replace my old 42''. After 5 calls and empty promises, I at least go upgraded to R7200 - but the store is in JHB. The Makro store close to me was more expensive R7799,00 and only after i refused the TV to be couriered to CPT, I was allowed to buy from Makro at the more expensive price. I see this as the biggest insult ever! You brag that you have the best deals, best this, best that - WAIT TILL YOU HAVE TO CLAIM!!!! 8 days to finalise a simple TV replacement, if I didn't call, I would still be waiting!!!!
I was a client for 7 years of DSTV. I recently moved and wanted to reactivate my decoder. It was only disconnected for 4 months. I called the so called call centre 3 times in 1 week. NO ONE is able to assist you in a call centre, why do they get salaries? Everytime you get a reference number but when you call back, that reference number means Jack-all to you! By far is DSTV the worst company in SA! You need to pay an arm and a leg for TV, but service, no ways, you wont get that! Pathetic!!!! After 7 years with the same decoder and same smart card, they can't seem to find anything on my name, but i have paid for 7 years - then it was conveniently there! So what the F??? I'm starting to think that they are, just like everyone else says - RACIST! When you phone, they decide if they want to help you or not!!!!
