On 27 August 2025 I made return flight reservations for 2 adults from Jnb (Johannesburg) to Grj (George). For early morning (6:00 - 8:00) from Jnb to Grj on 16 November 2025, returning on evening flight of 3 December 2025. On the prompts of the eDreams website, I authorized payment in the amount of R6230. I am used to getting instant confirmation of such bookings, but some 12 hours later am STILL WAITING for this. My credit card account shows an Uncleared/Pending amount of R6230 from EDREAMS BARCELONA 000ES 079138.
I ordered and paid for a 92 liter Mora bar fridge with efficiency rating A+ on 3 August. Order number 1863837, with estimated delivery to me in Pretoria on 6 August from Takealot warehouse in Cape Town. Fridge needed for storing a variety of chronic medicines. Now if I try to track the order, it says NOT SHIPPED. I emailed Takealot citing the order number etc, and received a response directing me to their disfunctional website https://www.takealot.com/help-centre , which I had already tried WITH NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER when clicking on the relevant button
This is our second Air Conditioner -- the first is still operational and in excellent condition after 19 years. Installation done professionally by well-trained personnel. After 3 weeks, the system still operates absolutely as it should.

But an abysmal subscription administration which repeatedly asks me to subscribe after I have a good dozen times sent proof to them of subscribing for a period of twelve months. On 9 th August 2024 I thus re-subscribed, When that did not enable me to access their articles, I sent the following email: Geagte Vrye Weekblad Hoewel ek ure gelede 'n 12 maande intekening (Koopbewys kode 7EZ3-AGPX-FT6Z) @ R960 gekoop het, kan ek nog steeds nie VWB artikels lees nie. Dit was nadat my vorige intekening blykbaar verval het -- iets waarvan VWB my nie in kennis gestel het nie. Ek het wel anonieme valse berigte ontvang dat my kredietkaart nie fondse het nie (terwyl daar duisende beskikbaar was). Die anonieme aard van daardie berigte het daarop gedui dat dit 'n **** kon wees. Ek waardeer VWB se joernalistiek. Over the last 20 or so years I have had my eyes tested, and my spectacles supplied by Spec-Savers in Hatfield Pretoria. I always received friendly, efficient and couteous service from optometrist Hendry Buys and from frame specialist Jacques. My eye sight now changes only slowly, and I had my current specs supplied in 2017 They have been subject to much abuse, but are still in good condition. During holidays in the South Cape I accidentally dropped them onto a steel crossbar, and one lens was cracked. I contacted the Mossel Bay (Heiderand) of Spec-Savers, who were able to expedite the replacement of the lens within 7 calender days.
While away from home in February 2021, I received by email a most attractive offer to subscribe for 6 months, and paid in full for this. On return to my home late in March, it appeared that no issues had been delivered. I promptly emailed the email address info@timeslive.co.za that acknowledged my order (and advance payment in full) about the non-delivery, but the email was returned to me. Also, since then I have received no deliveries. I emailed both info@timeslive.co.za and subscriptions@timeslive.co.za today, but this email was also returned by the Mail Delivery System
Excellent service, easy no-nonsense accommodation booking of accommodation. We have used them to book accommodation in different parts of South Africa (many times). Also in the UK, in different parts of the USA and in Croatia (in Zagreb, near Plitvice National Park, in Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik)
I have struggled for hours now to get the most basic information about services and cost. Most of my basic questions go unanswered, and I have been asked about four times for my initilas & surname, ID number, customer number and smart card number The service is hideously expensive, and their statements totally untransparent
