Extremely poor customer service from Brendal. Never returns calls. Have to keep following up. Continuous lies and expanded timelines. Probably the worst customer service ever.
We logged a claim for a damaged glass top SMEG stove. The assessor came out Dean from Master Electronic Engineers, didn't bother checking the stove model, took a few pictures and left. According to Nedbank the assessor indicated that the stove is no longer available, and that part of the glass should be replaced. If the assessor had done his work properly, he would have known that the exact same hob is available at Hirsch's or the glass can be replaced by SMEG, it cannot be replaced in part but needs to be replaced in full. When a window breaks you don't replace the part that is broken but need to replace the entire window - Clearly shows his lack of competence. So, we have told Nedbank fine replace the glass even the half appoint your service provider to do it - As per Nedbank no that is not possible - Yes, we know that, so get a proper assessor out to do a proper check and give a proper quote for the repairs. Alternatively, we have provided you with a quote from SMEG to replace the glass for R12k or replace the stove for R24k. As per Haylene Abrahams from Nedbank Complaints Officer, they cannot assist any further, is it not the purpose of insurance to keep their clients in the same position they were and not leave them worse off. When it comes to paying the premium of R2500 every month they take it without a blink, comes for time to payout, they can give you 100 excuses. NEDBANK is the worst insurance broker, stay away from them, they find every excuse under the sun not to pay. Will be moving to another insurance company once the matter is resolved with the Ombudsman. Simple solution and fair - Get SMEG to replace the glass or replace the stove.

I almost got scammed by Aldo Robberts, thanks to these posts on Hello Peter and doing my due diligence I discovered that he is a scam artist. He was selling a trailer on Facebook, price was too good to be true, sent him my details and he wanted a deposit, he sent me his ID, trailer licence documents but I decided to google him first and these complaints came up. His latest number is 067 059 0994. He says he resides in Brits and said the trailer will be delivered first thing tomorrow morning.
I logged my Windscreen Claim on the 11/12/2019 via the discovery app, I was contacted by Sibongile Maphumulo for additional details which was provided. I also informed the consultant that the windscreen is tinted and I provided the documents for this on the 17/10/2019, I sent the consultant proof of communication, which she phone me back and confirmed that all is in order - Please refer to the recording of the conversations. To date the claim for the windscreen tinting has not been approved, nor has the windscreen been changed. I sent a follow up email on the 24/12/2019 to Preveshen Naidoo, but still no response, this morning I get a call from Glasfit wanting to chnage the windscreen, when I enquired about the tinting they indicated that I must contact my insurance. This is once again extremely poor customer service from Discovery. The debit order runs like Swiss clock work but when it comes to claims it is extremely poor.
I am interested in a property to view and possibly put in an offer to purchase. I have sent them an email request via the Property 24 website requesting to be contacted regarding the property to date no response, on Monday I contact their office to arrange a viewing, the estate agent was not in and was advised by the Office Manager that she will get him to call me, to date I have not been called. I purchased a vehicle from Imperial Select Nelspruit, I was informed that the vehicle had tinted windows, when receiving the vehicle, there was no mats, the seat was burnt, the windows were not tinted and the vehicle was not cleaned. As I was based in Jhb, I did not get to see the vehicle however I was promised by Amukelani Godi and Cobus Taljaard that the faults would be attended to. This was on the 22nd September 2018, I was promised that I will be refunded for the Valet and Window Tinting which I had done and to date despite several promises from Cobus I have not received the payment nor received the vehicle mats or spare key. The service received from this branch is off the lowest standard and I advise against anyone purchasing from this branch as the customer service is extremely poor. False Promises are made by Cobus, I am still awaiting his call!

My vehicle windscreen was damaged due to a stone from a truck, Discovery Insure is refusing to replace the windscreen with an original, they want to use an alternative brand, from my understanding of insurance, insurance is meant to put you in a same position you were in previous to the incident. I have contacted them and they indicate that is their policy, clearly it does not state this in their policy I received. I was contacted by a Supervisor "Azime" refused to give me her full name, indicating they cannot assist the vehicle is a 2012 model and its their procedure. My vehicle is original from back to front in pristine condition if I wanted an alternative brand installed in my car I would go to a dodgy workshop and have it done. Never had this problem with Dial Direct, they were more expensive but way better customer service. Will be sending this matter to the Insurance Ombudsman and thereafter cancel my policy with discovery including my RA and Life Insurance.
