After having to wait over two weeks for delivery, Takealot sent me a product that was falsely advertised as a 1260watt machine, yet the machine was only 850watt. The ******* was promptly put back in it's box, the online return form filled and made available for collection. They keep delaying and rescheduling the collection date and thus, my refund. Takealot, I want my refund for the ******* you sent me, whether you pick it up or not!!
What can I say? Can one never actually have a decent experience with this *******? Really? this is now the last time. They don't even have a customer care line number to call. Obviously it must ring off the hook and that's why, like Fedex, they are just completely uncontactable. They will ***** your money. After making payment, they will cancel the order, but not return your money. STAY AWAY FROM THESE *******!
My package has been in transit for 20 days, 11 of which it has been hanging around at the Cape Town branch. Not a single one of the numbers exists and nobody has called me. My package is needed urgently. That's why it is couriered in the first place, otherwise I would have used SAPO, which is just as reliable as FEDEX. Is there a number that actually works that one can call them on?
While filling out a product enquiry form, a bid confirmation pops up on screen. No bid was going to be placed unless the information was received. Their system clearly is trying to grab unsuspecting buyers. Nobody ever got back to me regarding this problem, nor my query. Now they are demanding payment. Steer clear. I do think this is a scam
This app and its web interface deserves less than one star for sure! Looks like OLX, feels like OLX, works as poorly as OLX. What happened OLX? Gumtree is clearly looking to exit the market the same way OLX did. Create an unusuable interface and people will jump ship. We have been forced to move over to Facebook Marketplace.
Whatever you do, never purchase from these fraudsters. They will take your money and disappear. It's been three weeks since my online purchase and not a word.
Weeeellll, what can I say? Takealot, you were my soul mate, my one and only. I loved you so much. Everytime I needed something, you were there. You were there in a flash with all the bells, whistles and pretty trimmings. Short before long, your trimmings dropped away and I was left with naked presents to self every time. Not cool, man, not cool. Then, further down our relationship, you started stalking me. You were everywhere on my phone, my computer, just everywhere I went. I had to block you on every channel so that you could stop harassing me. So, as relationships go, in the end, I decided to give you one more chance. After all, I do think you might have made a few mistakes along the way and I thought that perhaps you'd matured a little and fixed the errors of your ways. But alas, no such luck. I made a purchase on your (in)famous Black Friday sale, which is just really one of your niceties you put out so that I can think you might have changed some. I was disillusioned once again. I see you're with someone else now. In fact, not just with one other, but with a few others. I thought those are good friends, but they're not. You make promises on their behalf that you know you can't keep. Yet, I believe every word you say. Your friends disappoint me terribly. As I wait and wait for that date, you disappoint me again. I sit here, all dolled up, waiting, waiting and you drop me like a led ball. Not cool, man, not cool. I really thought you loved me, your beloved customer, my ex-soulmate. Now, I sit here empty-handed, tears welling up in my weary eyes, wondering what I did wrong. I guess you're just not that into me. Okay, Takealot, I get it. You don't love me anymore and that's okay. I'm sure I'll find another some day. Take care, my ex-best friend, I will move on and be fine without you. Bye... Forever
