What an amazing experience. Bought last minute gift to take with on a business trip to Accra Ghana. Babylonstoren s online shop went the extra mile. The items was neatly packed and transported without damage through two flights. Arriving in Ghana, to my surprise they gift wrapped each tin of rooibos tea and added an hand written card (added the message on the online site) and added gift bags. What a wonderful way to return African hospitality
Worse online experience ever. First they did not have stock of the item. Then they emailed and later phoned me to confirm if they can swop out the item. I was quite clear over the phone that i wanted standard (not slimline) carbon 20"filters, so agreed over the phone. So 2 weeks later the stock arrive and the width clearly does not match the image of the item sold. Neither did the description state slimline. I request an online return, with the attached side by side image, clearly showing the issue out. Henk Coetzee (very rude marketing and online manager/owner) then proceeded to phone me, which ended with him putting the phone down in my ear. Very highly strung individual that obviously yet to get to learn to deal with customers issue to resolve them. Even threaten me with legal action (totally unfounded) and closing my account . So here you go. my side of the story. 18 wrong filters . happy that you close my account, Henk.
This company have an modus operandi. They overcharge on the customs. They use the shipping value and purchase price to determine the customs duties value. Then they add money to the combined cost (already inflated) to calculate the VAT on. So the VAT does not agree to the same value that they calculate the duties on. In my case they added another R100 to the value of the item (already inflated with shipping cost) to calculate the VAT on. They are very sticky to fix the issue and just hold you ransom if you want your item released. Don't even try to call them. But the client has options too. SARS review and tipoff, so see if the amount they are skimming from the customers reaches them. AliExpress repudiation to take them and speedaf off the list of reputable shipping option. Being dishonest does not go around the block that many times.....
Good afternoon service. I bought an zwilling blender that had an out the box failure. It was replaced with no effort. Of course I stayed calm and patient in the process. Many people just complain too quick. Got replacement within 2 weeks, and enjoying the smoothies.
Ordered on 24 Nov and by 18 December my parcel has still not reached me. On my order they refunded me not 1 not 2, not 3, but 4 items that was so called our of stock. This is a bs story, as any good inventory system has a counter and when you check out the back end stock quantity must update. I shopped online at more than 10 other places and the all shipped timeously for Christmas. Pretty shocking for a big brand. People should just stop support then or just by the counterfeit product as they Adidas is not doing their own brand any justice. Tried to reply twice to track my order. They either have a bot on service or someone that does not actually understand English. As the failed to answer my question twice. People should vote with their wallet. Support another vendor. Stop buying Adidas.
switched over to naked this year and had my first claim (small chip in the window). The team processed it quick and without hassle. Love the app of switching your stationary car on and off. Good savings compared to the insurer with a D.
I bought a zero gas geyser from builders for installation at a remote holiday location. The item was so poorly manufactured that after the installation. (and trust me, it is not a 5 min job for an installer) the geyser did not ignite. The would require the removal and reversal of the new back to the old unit. Eventually phone an electrician to have a look why it did not ignite. Found that The one connection wasn't properly crimped in the manufacturing process. Plse take note I reported this to their email 3 time and the failed to once answer me. Poor product, poor service. You will be left with the installation cost much higher than the upgrade price to a better unit. You make the call if it is worth it.
Had the same poor service and had my money ******. Many people is complaining about their service and still they continue to do business! Plse people help by taking action. Log a take down notice with ISPA (internet service provider body) if your money was taken. The more we stand together the more we can combat theft and *******ion.
Bookabook.co.za has and still is taking people s money, until someone will stop them. Their eft payment option, should be your first warning signs. If you pay by credit card and don't get services, you just repudiate the transaction. Not with eft So here is what will happen to me and what happened all the other de*****ed customers. Super-duper website will make you believe there is something legit. Everything works, until you pay. You don't get your books, you don't get any email response, you don't get any phone call answered. If you are still not convinced, try and phone their contact number and reach ghost town. R400 down the drain.
Communication is shocking for an online business. Have send 4 mails over 4 weeks. No, zero, nadda response. Won't buy from them again. There is a Candice that replied once, but then disappeared into cyber. Still waiting for dog bed and leash.
