*****ulent business (deliberate double charging)
This is a *****ulent business - do not attempt to take out a subscription. The business is deliberately misrepresent their offering in a way to double charge their customers. I have agreed to an annual subscription amounting to $102 which was immediately deducted. Two weeks later, the exact same amount is deducted again, which upon further inspection is claimed to be for a “data package”. The mere fact that the amounts are exactly the same is testament to how they are *****ulently misrepresenting information to their customers to create a scenario where they can convince the banks/paypal that a customer have agreed to be charged twice, when in fact you under the firm impression that you are paying $102 once. This needs to be escalated to relevant regulatory authorities.

Uber drivers *****ing deliveries in Cape Town
This is now the third time that my food gets ****** by an Uber driver. A second driver was assigned to pick up my order since the first one cancelled. The second driver informed me that the first driver took the food but then cancelled so he could take the food for himself. Second time this particular **** occurred. On a previous occasion food was taken out and placed in front of my door, the driver took a picture and immediately took the food and left again. I have a CCTV camera there so could see everything. For the rest I have suspected drivers eating some of the food as the content are clearly not what it should be. I have now had enough and will stop using this app. I have ordered in excess of the R35000 in Uber eats orders over the last 12 months. Time to stop.

No one answers phone at Point Virgin A
Trying to book a Tennis court at Point Virgin Active. Don’t bother phoning this club 021 434 0750, no one ever answers the number. My issue isn’t with Virgin Active generally, I gym at Silo and the service is great. This is specifically aimed at Point gym in Green Point.

Bad service, contractual amendments
RE Webafrica materially amends their agreements with customers after initiation of services Its been a terrible experience and I would strongly advise against engaging the services of this company. - Upon activating my fibre services I was informed that a router is included in the offering at the time so long as the contract is active for no less than 24 months. - After cancelling the contract after more than 24 months due to bad service, low internet speeds, constant amendments to its FUP and lack of support, I was advised that I need to deliver the router to their office in Woostock or they will debit my account with a R1000 to cover the cost of the router. The policy since changed to 'free to use', which was not what was agreed at the time. - I have no use for the router and informed them they are welcome to collect the router from me (as a courtesy) but I will not be delivering it to them as I certainly did not agree to this. This was ignored and instead the amount was debited to my account. - Do not use this company as your ISP, in my view it is unlikely to be a pleasant experience. I suspect this sort of activity is not only breach of contract, but also unlawful in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, which I will investigate further.

Discovery price not same as shelf price
Beware when you buy OTC items from pharmacies as the shelf price and the amount deducted from your Savings Account may not be the same amount. For example, went to buy Gaviscon from Dis-Chem today. The Shelf price was R78. Once the transaction has been processed, the receipt showed that in fact R118 has been claimed from my MSA. Upon checking with the pharmacy staff, I was informed that this is standard on Discovery Medical Aid claims for certain products - they have their own price. I must say, this leaves a real bitter taste which not even Gaviscon can cure...
