I am extremely disappointed with the service received from New Ride Auto. They charged a hefty R8600 for delivery, licensing, and registration, which already felt excessive. However, the real issues started when we received the White Ford 2.2 Dubble Cab bakkie. On the day of delivery, the engine light and traction control indicators came on, immediately signalling a problem. Despite their claims of having done a diagnostic check, we conducted our own and found a truck riddled with mechanical issues. When we requested that they resolve the problems, instead of taking accountability and fixing the issues, they opted to cancel the deal altogether. This leaves me deeply concerned that the same faulty vehicle will now be sold to another unsuspecting customer. From this experience, I feel they are not transparent or honest in their business practices. I would not recommend New Ride Auto to anyone looking for a trustworthy dealership. A week later the bakkie was back on the floor for R10K more. To fix the problems identified would have cost much more than R10K. Good luck to the poor guy who buy from them.
Place an online order on 13 August 2023 for a dishwasher, Order Number: MAK4965798. Received confirmation on the 14th that item is handed over to their courier partner. On the 16th I enquire on the status, finding out that the item was net handed over to the courier. This was resolved quickly and the item delivered on Friday 19 August 2023. On installation we saw that the aquastop safety Inlet valve on the Inlet pipe is cracked. I immediately informed Makro via WhatsApp including the pictures reference # 3321579. On Monday the 21st I phoned Makro again enquire on the progress of my enquiry. Till today no one contact me to resolve the issue.
I bought an JBL 2.1 Deep Bass Soundbar from Branddeals.co.za which form part of the Brand Hubb group. It was my first purchase from this group. The item was not in their warehouse and had to be collected from one of their suppliers. My only complaint is that it took 7 working days for the item to be delivered but I was contacted on a regular basis with an update on the progress. That is why I give 5 stars. Also the price for the item was very good. The service and tracking from the courier company was excellent.
My experience with Yuppiechef online was quite an enjoyable one. The shipping and delivery was quick and everything received in order.
On 5 Feb 2021 I have upgraded two of my phone packages to the Samsung S21+ Mega Gigs M with bonus 1000 free minutes and 4GB anytime data at the MTN Ermelo outlet. Its for 36 months @ R879 P/M. Both packages is on the personalised upgrade deal (page 32 of the booklet). On the 12th of Feb, I realised that MTN did not load the Plus Bonus Value as promised. I have informed the lady at the store and sent a query to MTN (Ref #4162394) I have contacted the call center and 3 times received notification that my case is closed. So what is an acceptable time frame for MTN to correct your mistakes??? Another Ref # I was given, Ref #RE2000002190412. This was given on the 17th. Today I have received Ref #1-3945033364 customer query closed SMS, but the packages are still not corrected by MTN? WHY must this become my problem. You have never waited to receive payment from me!!!!!!
On 20 October 2020, I bought a Samsung Washing machine for my parents online from Loot. The washing machine was delivered to my parents directly from Samsung on 26 October 2020. As we open the box, We saw that the machine has a dent in from the transport. I took pictures of the damaged machine and notified Loot the same evening. After numerous calls to Loot and eventually Samsung, NOTHING had happened to replace the damaged item. On 14 November I spoke to Sipiwe at Samsung, she was not even aware that Samsung deliver directly. I have spoken to Skombuso twice at Samsung, who promised me to sort it out and get back to me. Neither happened. Samsung is blaming Loot and Loot simply say that it is not their delivery company who have delivered the washing machine. I think it is unacceptable from Sumsung. My mother is 74 years old, and she must wash her washing with her hands while Samsung is dragging their feet to resolve the issue.
I have received great service from the HUAWEI Customer Service Centre - Menlyn Park Shopping Centre. At the end of October 2020, Huawei had a special on screen replacements. Both my and my wives Huawei P30 screens were damaged due to falls. I have made an appointment at the service centre for Saturday morning via the Huawei App. Both our phones was repaired within 4 hours. In addition to the screen, they have replaced our batteries and put on a new screen protector at no extra cost. The phones look brand new. Thank you very much to Chloé who assisted us.
On the 13th of October 2020 I have bought 4 x Bushtec Padded Sofa Chairs (150kg) from TakeAlot.com on a One day deal. I could only get 4 at the markdown price from TakeAlot.com and also bought 1 x Bushtec Padded Sofa Chair (150kg) from Loot.co.za. I have received my 4 x Bushtec Padded Sofa Chairs from TakeAlot.com on the 15th of October, 2 days later. It's today the 20th of October and my order from Loot.co.za is still showing "stock on order" with an expected dispatch date of 2 Nov 2020. I just love doing business with Takealot.com. TAkealot.com is not perfect and I have received wrong items, the difference is the way they handle your query. They are always more that helpful to correct the order.
I have ordered the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active-2 Dual-Core Smar****ch (Tizen)(40mm) (Silver) (order #RFRD-295-B800) on 1 October 2020 at 07H35 for the price of R3717. The item was on sale for the whole day (i.e. 1 October 2020). The price returned back to R5830 on the 2nd of October 2020. Today, 6 October 2020 I have been informed by Loot.co.za that the item is not available and that they have cancelled my order and they have refunded the value of my purchase into my Loot account. I have phoned the Loot customer call center this morning at 09H12 and spoke to a very nice gentleman by the name of Jessy. I am not interested in your logistic problems of suppliers or the voucher. The item is STILL on your website for R5830. I want the item as ordered and paid for. My son also ordered one for his girlfriend at R3717 and he did receive shipping confirmation. My point is; if I order an item from the Loot website for ex. R1000 and the price goes down to R900 just after I have bought it, I do not get the benefit for the price that went down. The same principle must apply if the price goes up. You are still advertising the product on your website, so I want it. But for the price that I have paid for it. If all the watches were sold out, I might have understand, but not if you still sell the same product. It is your obligation to keep your suppliers accountable.
Makro online shopping is definitely the worst online shopping experience I ever had. I have placed an order (#MAK2553792) on the 26th of May 2020. Approximately a week or two later tracking on my profile indicate that the order is complete and delivered. I phoned the the call center, which informed me that the parcel is with the Courier Service Dawn Wing and that I will receive my parcel before the end of the week. The next week Tuesday, I phoned Makro Call Center again (query # 820747). The lady gave me a tracking number for Dawn Wing, so I phoned Dawn Wing. A lady at Dawn Wing informed me that the package was never handed over from Makro. So, since middle June, I am trying to get assistance from Makro on my delivery. I have phoned numerous times without success. Every time they just escalate my query to some manager and nothing happen. It is today the 1st of July, and still the same story. My parcel is still at the Nelspruit Makro, without any explanation on why it is not shipped yet.
