When an advertising campaign makes no sense??!! Please can Checkers explain what the value of their latest "little shop" campaign expects to achieve??? ?? So much money spent on a lot of mindless advertising, with costs wasted on > packaging with little thought given to >> (environmentally [reckless] damaging) plastic miniature "pretend" groceries which any child under 3 could choke on... TELL US WHY?? WHAT DOES THIS DO ?? OTHER THAN harm the environment and waste bajilions of ZAR that could be better invested in a campaign to uplift the disadvantaged or at least be contributed to one of (pick a subject) the numerous charity organisations ...lemme think.. POWA , homeless shelters; FOR SOME options, but Google can provide a significant list of organisations in need. After the recent freezing temperatures SA experienced during the recent Heritage day weekend.. people dying due to hyperthermia... the list is endless... UNTIL NOW, I HAVE BEEN A FIERCE CHECKERS SUPPORTER... this mindless campaign has closed my heart!!! There are better ways to obtain food and supplies without depending on the smoke and mirror 'like' advertising campaigns. My hard-earned ZAR's have to do more to make SA a better place for ALL without squandering funds on utter *******!! Yes I am D O N E !!!

Hyde Park ...worst of all the branches. Howeverr if one takes a few minute to read all/or some the reviews from various stores.. you will note that overall..they are not popular with their customers...again...one has to wonder if they even bother to read these reviews since their reponse is approximately ...no ACTUALLY Z E R O!! you have been warned
MY ONLY CRIME WAS DRYING ...my wet hands when my phone rang at 5pm 30.12.23 having left a request on your website for a callback at 11:30 this morning. AT THE TIME THE CALL FINALLY CAME THROUGH IT WAS ALREADY 5 & 1/2 HOURS SINCE MY REQUEST ON THE TELKOM WEBSITE... Believe it or not we actually DO have lives and after a hard day at work, I was washing dishes... no-one with half a brain would answer a mobile phone with wet hands right!?! Trust me, having waited so long I was really keen to answer the call, having been given the number BY TELKOM to expect a call from the exact number that rang at 5pm.... I dried my hands as quick as I could but...alas... I was too late..seconds after it rang, the caller hung up. One can imagine that "who wants to work" at tjaile time right? So another bad telkom service day...nothing changes... Just needed a li'l help.. hey ho
I had been eating Natures Garden frozen Edemame beans for over a year. they are not always easy to find and I happened to be in Linden in November when I found some at the Linden Kwikspar. I purchased three bags with absolute joy & excitement. They were expensive but since the opportunity of accessing them was available I took three bags. When I finally opened the first one on Saturday night 25.11.23 to have for dinner, I was shocked to find that they are a yellow colour. (FROZEN/UNFROZEN AND REFROZEN?? ) I tried cooking a few but they were unpalatable when I ate them, I cook them (always have) using fresh garlic, fresh lemon juice and a herb seasoning. Even adding more of my mixture could not mask the dreadful taste. I have taken photographs of all the bags with the bar codes/ batch numbers and the date (marked to be used by 2024) Further to this, plus the store cash register receipt. I am a tutor and I live in Rosebank and I have precious little time. I am not prepared to drive all the way back to Linden. Kwikspar’s prices per bag are almost twenty rand higher than any other store. I hope to get a solution from Kwikspar given that they boast that all products are fresh on their website. I purchased a lot of items which were all perfect. Furthermore, I did write to Natures Garden to tell them about my experience. I provided all the information including bar codes and mf/use by dates with photographic evidence. They offered me a voucher and told me that they no longer manufacture the product. I sent an email to them via email and they never responded. The second time I tried they told me that me email address was not valid. I typed it in manually three times ...I have been the sole owner of my email adress for amost two decades. I boughis t a product that was unpalatable. A product I have been using siince it hit the market place...over a year ago
I have registered on this site and Re-registered again tonight and got the green UP tick of approval only to be told that I do not exist on their website. I did everything including changing my username and password according to their rules and regulations YET!!! I still cannot login to get a renewal form for my vehicle licence. The most BIZARRE thing of all is that they sent me an email last week to remind me to go online to print my renewal notice. Another service passed onto the consumer which they can't get right! So how is it that the do not have me on their system. THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN!!
WOW!! I shop at many Checkers stores. The Checkers60 service is a great idea but if one is shopping in the store/s oneself, one might be hit by a Checkers60 employee. I have experienced this in almost all the Checkers branches I have shopped in and that is several because my job takes me away at times. However, yesterday I was shopping at Rock Cottage in Weltevreden Park / Randpark Ridge JHB (not sure which area it falls under) and I had to stop a woman using her trolley like a skateboard skimming through the shoppers and using her feet as brakes. I was gobsmacked at the outright disrespect for the rest of us. I spoke to her and she began to argue and then flicked her braids and continued as normal. The women in the meat department seemed most annoyed that I dared to say anything. I mean who am I but a customer right?? Guys I am a fan. I am happy that this service not only exists for "our" convenience but that it provides employment. Checkers needs to manage this team of speedsters and prevent a potential lawsuit from an injury that could occur and also from potentially losing custom. The attitude and aggression from the speeding trolleys in the stores is untenable as well as disrespectful. I get that they are trying to get as much in their trolleys as possible due to the 60-minute timeline, but here is a thing called common sense and it is not common. Use this, don't use this!! I took the time to share. There are other shopping options. Checkers is not the boss !!!! On another issue I would like to commend the security guards who man the stores. Most efficient and polite. At Rock Cottage I met a man named Andries who was extremely caring and actually commendable. Diane
I have to acknowledge with utter gratitude, the dilligence of those at Standard Bank who assisted me with resolving the issues I have been experiencing with my account. Trust restored! Thank you Diane
I am absolutely gobsmacked that I am being harrassed by this bank when I in fact paid cash for my montly instalment of my account using the STANDARD BANK ATM where I bank 24 plus hours before my payment was due. I ALWAYS PAY ON OR BEFORE TIME every moth without fail!!!!!. This morning I recieved yet another "reminder" after another one sent a few days ago that my payment was due to which I reolied with attached proof of payment made at their own ATM. I have not had the courtesy of a reply and find this false accusation especially based on a clean track record unacceptable. It is the false accusation in spite of my proof of payment and immediate respondse added to the lack of reponse to my immediate reply which brings me here in the attempt to prevent escalation of a situation due to inadequate and insufficient information from STD Bank. Ready To accuse but not so much to rescind!!!
