I received a call from a lady claiming she is from Vodacom Direct Sales on 2 October 2024, wanting to do an upgrade of my phone. She had my details and promptly did my upgrade to a new iphone. The phone would have been delivered within 2-3 days by RAM couriers. Today, I visited the local Vodacom Shop in Woodlands as it's been more than 3 weeks and no communication from the upgrade. Woodlands had a Iphone available, so I wanted to upgrade. Anita at Woodlands was very helpful, and told me that a quote was open on my account and she could not upgrade until this was removed. She phoned the call center and they indicated a Vodacom Shop in Durban (Store id: 15048. Phone No: 031 304 1845) did the quote and they will have to remove it. She phoned the Durban Shop and spoke to Nicole the store manager. The store manager said she could not remove it, it was done by the call center, but the store id pointed to her store. I spoke to Nicole and insisted the quote must be removed. She was very rude and said it will take a day to do the removal. I asked her for her surname and she hung up the call. Anita phoned the call center again, and confirmed the store number and they again confirmed that that was the correct store. She now had to create a ticket for the quote to be removed and it will only be possible to upgrade next week. This is a clear case of ***** being comitted by the Durban Store, phoning customers under false pretences, claiming to be a call center, and lying about the availability of phones and the service they provide. This should be taken very seriously, as this is the type of ***** that cost Vodacom many customers. The store in Durban is *****ing customers from all over SA, and this should not be allowed to happen. The local Vodacom Shops are loosing customers and have to deal with un-happy people as a result of ***** happening in this store. I would fire these ********* people if they where in my employ!
We have business account with Openserve. For the the last 2-3 weeks the phone number doesn't work from any other network to this line. It works from Telkom to Telkom only. I've logged multiple calls, and each time the calls gets closed by the incompotent call center people. This is impacting our business and Openserve does not care about anything. I suggest looking at anyone other then Openserve for your business needs. This is the second time this is a problem.
My wife wanted to upgrade her contract earlier this year and opted for a phone to be delivered. They delivered the wrong phone and she sent it back. That should have been a complaint by itself, but after weeks it was collected. After she returned the wrong phone, Vodacom decided to add another phone rental to her account, so she has 2 contracts going of her account. She has logged multiple calls with Vodacom, and each time she phones them they just open other call without sorting out the issue. This issue has been going on for more then 6 weeks! They have not sorted out the credits they own her and it's now at a point where she will move to another service provider. The latest account statement shows that the second contract has still not been removed, and that her normal contract is suddenly more expensive then what it was before the upgrade attempt. I added the reference numbers of the tickets.

Jaco Bouwer quoted me to build a cricket net, and I accepted the quote. I paid R22600-00 deposit. This was end of March 2017. Jaco has not delivered anything, not done anything. He is lying constantly, with promises that my money will be paid back.

Be very careful of this person.

His full names I got from the Internet: Jacobus Nicolaas Bouwer

RSA ID: ********** 002084

Tel: **********

I rented a car in May, and had a small accident. We are self insured, and Hertz deducted the damage from my account, no problem. I've been trying to get a statement and a proof of payment out of Hertz for almost 2 month now. This is needed by our insurance company to pay back my money. They are un-responsive, and do not get back to me. I've mailed Customer Care multiple times, and they do nothing.

Vodacom markets their new App as a way to manage your account, but as a Contract user I can't buy any bundle on the App. I have to phone the call centre every time, taking 3-4 minutes just to get pass the long winded menu. Secondly I do not qualify for the Double You data promotion, as that is only for pre-paid, and top-up.

Why should we, contract paying people who spend thousands of Rands a month on Vodacom not benefit from a promotion like this?

I phoned the call centre, Vuyo (No surname) told me that is the way it is, even if you get marketing about the double your data, that is just meant for some Vodacom customers, not you! When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told No Managers are available, I must phone back later. When I aksed for Vuyo's name and surname, I was told they do not give surnames.

I am disgusted with Vodacom's arrogance. Vodacom, you need us, the people who has been paying you every month for years. Not the other way around.

I logged a call for my phone line being faulty on 24 October 2016. This call has been now closed twice by Lying Telkom technicians. The cable is broken, on the ground next to my house, but they close the call.

I've been phone every day, with nothing being done by Telkom to resolve the problem.

Again today, on the phone for more then 30min to get someone to attend this problem.

If I had a choice, I would never use Telkom for anything.
