Word of caution to those interested in dealing with WeBuyCars. My first attempt I bid on a vehicle. Paid the auction deposit, process painless and so was the refund when I lost the bid. I subsequently found another vehicle I was interested in, paid the holding fee with my credit card through their website. 1st on physical inspection of the vehicle found the images on the web to be extremely misleading, vehicle (motorcycle) was in very poor condition (even though it was A Rated). Now trying to get my refund is an ongoing frustration, there is no refund option for this on their website (only auction deposit refund). Eventually managed to make contact with a person, had to provide 3 month bank statements (to prove the bank account belongs to me), ID, proof of purchase (through their website). According to their correspondence this can take up to 5 working days. This is now 2 weeks later without the refund. It appears WeBuyCars makes money of your hard earned money with 0 benefit to you. Be warned!
This relates to the Online for Business Banking. I have been unable to use the mobile app for 3 weeks now. I have called the support number on 3 different occasions, have been on call waiting for an hour, 1 dropped call, and 2 "I'll call you back later" (still waiting) and have probably spend an 1hr following the support staff's various suggestions without any progress. The last support person advised me their developers are struggling to fix the app. Bottom line is they force updates and then we as consumers are unable to perform our activities. Today their website app failed to complete the transfer of money between accounts resulting in ME having to pay penalties. Standard Bank's service is rapidly declining (This applies to both my personal and business accounts with them).
Bought ostrich biltong from them before (took a chance). Price is reasonable. Product was good enough to try again. Placed an online order this morning, was delivered the same day. Previous order was delivered the next day. Between them and their courier service great service.
I placed my order and paid for it on the 7th of Nov. Site showed stock available. Initial automated email responses received of order being processed. I followed up on the 9th as no further updates received since then. I called to follow up and confirm. The person dealing with my order was not available and I was informed they would call back... which they did fairly promptly. Was advised my product was actually not in stock. They order on Tues and Thurs from their supplier (Victron). I was advised they have placed the order and should receive the product the next Tues (14th of Nov) and will ship it immediately (overnight as it would be 5 working days since paying for the order). It is the 15th today and I cannot get hold of anyone (called numerous times and sent multiple emails) and there has been 0 further confirmation since the 9th. Which rating would you give for a business you cannot get hold of and no-one updates you? The jury is out.
Vodacom gets this 5 star rating for employing Nkululeko Zuke. I was furious with the previous 2 consultants of which the more senior of the 2 was absolutely useless in both assisting me and addressing my issue. It's concerning that loopholes are built into T's&C's to protect the business machine with no recourse or protection to the man in the street. Nkululeko was smart enough to both save me money and provide me a better package tailored to my requirements. Thanks boet, you're a champion!
After receiving confirmation from FrogFoot that my line has been upgraded I checked and found I was still experiencing the slower package speed. Investigated with Vox support and they confirmed that my line wasn't upgraded. It's now 3 days later and neither myself nor Vox has had any further feedback from FrogFoot. My line speed tests still show the old (slow) speed, whilst Vox has started charging me for the upgraded line. Poor service and support from FrogFoot.
