I bought a Hisense U965 cellphone at Ackermans East Rand Mall on Sunday 22nd June 2025 and only stated using it on Tuesday 24th June 2025. It was giving problems during that week as it was slow, the battery power lasted for only a few hours and it was not operational at all. I then decided to buy myself another phone which was second hand and knew that I would return the phone I bought at Ackermans and get my money back to buy a new phone. On Sunday 29th June 2025 I went back to the Ackermans in East Rand Mall to return my phone and explained the issues I had with it. One of the Sales people said the phone has issues and they don't recommend people to buy it, and when I said I face the same challenges, the other consultant who was helping me said there is nothing they can do. She asked to test it and did so for a few minutes and went ahead to tell her manager that she did not see any fault in the phone. All I ask is for my money back after receiving such poor service from Ackermans. If there is anyone who can help me with this issue, I would be grateful for their assistance.
I visited Truworths in Eastgate Mall and was helped by a lovely gentleman Sifiso Nkosi. He went out of his way to personally get the items I was looking for and luckily the store had them. It has been a while since I have received such great service from a retail store and I am very grateful to have been helped by Sifiso. He is friendly, patient and does his job with a smile. I would recommend Truworths Eastgate mall to everyone because their service is top tier. Thank you Sifiso.
The prices are very affordable and the staff is also very friendly.
On Friday 6th January 2023 my partner and friends went out for drinks at News Cafe in Emperors Palace. Upon our arrival, a waitress came and showed us a table to sit. There were people already sitting there and she said we must sit there. my partner told her to first ask the people who were already occupying the table if we can sit and then she did so and we ended up sitting there. While sitting, I asked the waitress to clean the table and she said she can't come the other side of the table and gave me, the customer to wipe the table for her which is the most rude thing any waitress can do. We ordered our drinks and food and enjoyed the night. The music was good and the vibe was also good. the time came for us to go home and we asked for the bill. When the bill arrived she added drinks that we didn't order thinking that we were drunk. I told her to remove the items that we did not order but she ended up not removing all them and it became caotic. I wanted to escalate the matter but the bouncers became very rude and told us to pay the bill. I kept on persisting that I will not pay a bill that is not mine because of a waitress that has decided to to fraud. I ended up paying the bill which was R2500.00 and it was R900 extra. The worst part is that the very same waitress said where is her tip and that took me off completely. I would like my refund from News Cafe in Emperors Palace and I plan on not visiting the franchise ever again because my experience there was horrible.
I bought a Goldair Gas Heater on Monday 9th May 2022 and it gave me problems so I returned it on Tuesday 12th July 2022. When I arrived there the salesperson said that there are no more Gas heaters available so I said they just order from another Builder's Warehouse. They promised to call me back jntil today. When I do call, they say their lines are down. I still want to make my exchange because when I check online they have 26 Gas heaters in stocks so meaning they lied to me. I am still waiting for a response but Builder's Warehouse has the worst customer service ever. I would like this issue to be resolved ASAP because I am now without a gas heater.
I took an insurance with Finrite in 2019 after I had bought a cellphone with Telkom. This year in April 2020 I noticed that my debit order had decreased and when I called Telkom to find out they told me that my insurance had been cancelled. I told them that I did not cancel my insurance therefore Finrite did this without my consent. I called Finrite a couple of times and they said the issue was with Telkom. I then called Telkom and they told me the issue is with Finrite so I have been taken back and forth by both compnaies. All I want is for my insurance to be reinstated or my money back for all those months I have been pahying it because I did not cancel the insurance myself. Please assist me with this problem.
