Bought rotten frozen sardines from Thrupps - when I took it back to the store I was told that without a slip i could not get a refund- notwithstanding the name Thrupps on the packet- manager would have to contact head office to get a refund?? For a packet of rotten sardines???5 days later i haven’t heard a word
Very bad service all around Parcels thrown around and contents get broken or damaged Also not a user friendly experience standing in a long queue at Pep stores waiting for one sullen teller to rummage through all of other parcels to eventually find yours
Absolute scam in all ways !!!! Arrived months later and completely useless - plus you have to collect it at the post office and pay import duty of over R100 Doesn’t cover any blemishes- The light cream is completely white and you look ghostly The texture is greasy and doesn’t stay on , label says ‘ Beauty cream’ - The name Fasesse doesn’t feature anywhere on the product and it is made in China not the UK as advertised Also cream is under a membrane and it is only possible to get it on but pressing on the membrane with makeup applicator. It is not a lot of cream under the membrane but you can’t see that because membrane is tightly attached to the pot- half of the pot is a fake bottom It belongs on a throw out shelf in a low budget makeup
I am reporting the terrible service of the insurance company Insuring MTNs phones When you take out a contract you are offered the option of insuring the phone for a certain amount every month I would strongly advise against falling for this option because it seems that the chance of claiming is very slim due to all the small print in the contract I have being paying insurance on my daughters phone for over 2 years My daughter got a new phone as a gift and returned her phone to me I put it away as a spare to use later When I took out the phone to use it I dropped it and the glass cracked At the time I was aware that the phone was insured because I was still paying insurance on the phone (which I own , and have fully paid for , as the contract was older than 24 months) I followed the process to have it repaired - took it to the store and filled out the claim form and they sent it away This is the response that I got We act on behalf of Guardrisk Insurance Company Ltd, the insurers of the MTN Mobile Device Insurance Policies. Having reviewed the submission of the claims documentation submitted to our offices as per the heading of this letter, we hereby inform you that we are declining liability of the said Underwriter, inter alia on the grounds that there was no cover at the time of the claim, for the below reason/s; Due to the listed Cellphone number/s not being used in the insured device at the time of loss or damage Period of insurance It is important to note that your HANDSET or MOBILE DEVICE is only covered whilst being used with the SIMCARD encoded with the TELEPHONE number listed on your Schedule. You can change your cell phone number at any time but your HANDSET or MOBILE DEVICE will only be covered if your broker, Pinnacle Marketing (Pty) Ltd has been notified of the change. The listed cell phone number was not in use with the insured device at the time of loss. Please be advised that cover for accidental physical and liquid damage will be suspended until such time that you provide the Insurer with proof of repairs on the device. I am very unhappy with this response because I feel are hiding behind a clause in the small print as justification for not honoring your obligation to repair the screen I feel that subscribers have the right to use more than 1 phone at a time with the same SIM card I am warning other potential victims that have taken out the same insurance that in order to claim for damages to the insured phone they may only use 1 SIM card
Mobiles plus obtained a contract with false claims that the cellphone would be delivered When the phone was not delivered the contract was canceled However Mobiles Plus did not cancel the contract and refuse to deliver the phone saying it is MTN who is at fault They have not done anything to remedy the situation after 4 days of providing a generic response This is the second month I’m paying for a phone that I haven’t received
I was offered contact upgrade on my MTN account by Patrick from Mobiles Plus I explained that I would be going on leave that Saturday and that the IPhone8 which I got must be delivered by Friday My conditions for the upgrade was that the phone would be delivered by Friday He assured me that it would be delivered between 12 and 3 pm to my house It was not delivered so I canceled the upgrade wit Mobiles Plus Mobiles plus did not cancel the upgrade and now I’m being billed by MTN for a phone that I haven’t received When I got Shantel Naidoo from Mobiles Plus customer care to call me after 27 days she and her supervisor blamed MTN for not canceling the upgrade They also said that I have to take up the problem with MTN as to where they phone is , as they are still awaiting feedback as to the location of the phone allocated to me Mobiles plus customer care takes no responsibility for fraudulent claims by their sales team They are unable or not willing to contact MTN to resolve the problem They feel I must just accept that I am paying for a cellphone that I never got They have said they cannot assist me in any way I would strongly advise against accepting any telephone offer from Mobiles Plus as their salespersons lie in order to get a deal and their customer care department is not interested in investigating In addition, if a contract is canceled in accordance with the consumer protection act , they are not interested in following up to see that it’s done Their attitude is - we sold the contract, got the commission, if there’s a problem sorry but you are on your own There is not even small print because their proof is a taped conversation over the phone They should be forced to produce the conversations to the client and MTN They give MTN a bad name MTN should distance themselves from them
