I would like to lay a complaint on behalf of my mother. She bought a pair of shoes last week with her check card, she wore them once, and then they broke. She is a small in stature lady and so these shoes straps should not have broken this easily. She took the shoes back today for a cash return, but they would only offer her a voucher even though she could prove that she bought the shoes there according to her bank statement and the detail on the box. She didn’t want the voucher, as she does not intend to shop there again. They would not help her except with a voucher. The service was extremely poor. They wanted her personal details as well which she was unwilling to provide after their bad service. If someone can prove that they bought something and it broke it should be completely refundable without questions asked. That’s how you keep customers. The lady who helped her is Lucrutia at Dainfern shopping centre.
So this morning I decided to go with my husband to Jackson’s for the first time.I’ve heard about the place and I thought, why not, let’s drive and give it a shot. I order a berry bowl with nuts and yogurt. And ask for extra banana. (Its a fresh food/produce shop after all)Out waiter informed us that the kitchen and doesn’t have bananas - they only have frozen banana so I couldn’t add any as they didn't have ordinary bananas. Are you kidding me. I can see them - in the shelf. I stood up and measured how far it was from the my table to the massive stand full of banana’s sold INSIDE. 12m. Just 12m. So I took bananas - walked to the tills and bought them to add to my dish. Wow. Just wow.
Absolute ********** service. We are over seven working days after the parcel had to be in my hand. I called after it had been out for delivery three times already and the package is still at the warehouse because the driver didn’t want to drive in the rain. Then they promised they would deliver on a Saturday and it’s still at the warehouse. Companies need to stop using this ridiculous company. Staff irritated when you call them.
Cancelled my DSTV with a months notice. Confirmed with DSTV month-end that it was cancelled. Confirmed - They promised that no further debits will happen. Debits STILL happened. Over a R1000. Requested a refund. They said no problem, will happen in a week's time. Nothing. Called 3 weeks later and they played dumb acting like they never had a conversation with us before. Had to AGAIN tell them that I request a refund. Sitting with a reference number to make it 'feel legit', but know that it will not happen. DO NOT TAKE THEIR WORD.
I handed a small load in on Thursday morning, very early. Ironing only. Went back late on Friday afternoon to check if it was maybe done. It wasn’t. They said it would be by the next morning - that was fine - no problem. On Saturday afternoon, 1pm, I went in again and she said she was ‘busy with it as we speak’, and would call me later when its done. Nothing. She promised in fact. I asked if I should wait, and she said that I could come back a little later and it would be done. I could not come back that day as I had other responsibilities. I never fetched on Sunday, as we could not pass there again. Their advantage. When I went on Monday morning, 4 days later, she said that they still had not started. So I took my washing and left. If you are looking for a laundry business that actually delivers in convenience and great service, find another. Did not get a reply or money back either. No answer.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to cancel an account with TELKOM FIBRE. We have moved to a new home more than a year ago, filled in forms, spoke to people, canceled on line, confirmed via telephone, stop ordered, phoned again and again and again. Nobody knows how to help us and they continue to take money EVERY month. Every call ends up in the same place and they put the phone down in your ear if they cannot help you. DO NOT TAKE ANY DEAL WITH TELKOM, YOU WILL NOT GET OUT OF IT. Absolutely outrageous and it has the worse service. We are STILL trying.... nothing works.
So my parents are building a court through 'Barrett's' who came 'highly recommended' via myself and more. The initial time given to build a court was up to 6 weeks. We are passing 12. Yes, 12! And the court is NOT done. Barrett's workers rock up EVERY day at 10ish, take a 'tea time' at 11' no shorter than an hour. Lunch is at 12! No shorter than an hour, and leave at 2:30. With very little work done that day. Then the rest of the time they are mostly lying around 'waiting for stock'. Apparently nobody knows how to pre-order. I have NEVER NEVER seen such a lazy bunch of people. When you talk to supervisors, workers, OWNER, everyone is always passing the buck, coming up with the same old excuses, Today they are 'waiting' again, and do not have stock of blue paint. 'maybe next week' he says. WHAT??? There have been NO rain delays til now, and today, yet again, they are lying around 'waiting'. So much needs to be done, but no capable/willing workers to do the job. This is just ridiculous. I have two more courts to build, and Barrett's will def not be the referral. If they are paid to sit around and work 5 min a day... they are surely fulfilling the requirements.
