Discovery promised feedback on my previous review. No feedback is received.
I am not a frequent traveler. With great joy I planned a holiday to Cape Town. My wife and I checked in early to spend some time in the Airport Lounge. I generated my Discovery Voucher. The description said clearly that I will have access and also the secondary card holder, my wife. My wife was refused at the lounge. According to the lady on duty the rules changed. My wife need to pay R300 to have access with me. Sorry Discovery, you are the worst. Even the voucher stated that I, plus one adult will have access. Does your rule change so fast that you didn't even updated your App? Bad, unprofessional!
Very bad service from Makro Online. I did the sale on Monday 20 January 2025. Tuesday the courier was on the way. At 17:00 I received a notification that they couldn't reach me and will reschedule the delivery. I was at the give address the whole day. On Thursday 23 January 2025 I received a notification that my order is been cancelled because the supplier cannot supply. Today, 24 January I went on the Makro online portal. The item I ordered is still available to buy and to deliver. I phoned the Customer Care number and requested to speak to a manager. That was at 14:30. The manager was on lunch and will call me back at 16:00. The manager didn't even call. THEY DONT CARE. Please don't buy from Makro Online.
Disappointing serves from Discovery Insure. I requested a callback on the website in March 2023. Still no callback. I changed my Fabled, added the new one and deleted the old one. This was in February 2023. Still paying for the deleted one. I called this morning 17 May 2023 to make a change on my policy, more than 30min on hold to speak the first level (useless) of assistance. This is a 3rd world company on all levels!!!!!
Discovery Vitality is not moving forward. My exercises are not reflecting on my Points wheel. I hope to submit my exercises almost every week. Discovery agents keep on promising that they will fix this problem but they don't move forward. I requested numerous times to speak to a consultant about this but they refused to call me back. I have a bigger expectation from Discovery than this. Discovery, you have millions of Rand of me, pull up your socks.
What a disappointment (again). Takealot advertise items at a lower cost as any other shop and when you buy it and waited a couple of days, they just cancel the sale or send you an item with lower specs as advertised. After spending numerous minutes on the telephone you realize: They just don't care. Now I must re-order my son's birthday gift and will then only arrive after his birthday. Well done Takealot, again!!
Discovery Insure is the worst!! I claimed online for a damaged Cellphone because the Tele-Voice, when I called the 0860 751 751 number, asked me to submit my claim via the Web Portal. That I did on Friday 25 February. On Monday 28 February I phoned Discovery Insure at 12:00. After 9 minutes I were still nowhere. Another request was send to the "Service Provider" who had to contact me. At 15:00 Still no communication. I phoned again and after 30 minutes on hold Stanley Mokwaledi answered. I insisted on settling the claim so that I can buy a new communication device. He put the phone down in my ear !!!! I AM DONE WITH DISCOVERY INSURE!!!
What a Mickey Mouse Bank. Please stay away. I challenge Mr Fourie to prove me wrong!! They STOPED my account because they THINK there was a Fraudulent transaction on it. No communication with me. When I enquire about the problem they said I must sort the transaction out with the person who paid me from ABSA because ABSA don't manage to get hold of the accountholder to verify that it is not fraudulent. Capitec!! You blocked my account on the 2nd of October and for 2 weeks you didn't notify me!! I don't use this account on a daily basis. Now that I expect a payment the account is blocked and I cannot receive my money. Well done!!!! This account will be closed as soon as possible.
I bought a Samsung S20 Ultra 128Gb phone. The Takealot website indicated in the Product Information Tab that this phone have 128GB Memory and 16Gb RAM. When I received the phone it had only 12GB RAM. I phoned Samsung SA to check with them why my phone have only 12GB RAM. Samsung SA (Thulani) confirmed that the Samsung S20 Ultra phones with 128GB memory have only 12GB RAM and not 16GB as advertised by Takealot. I contacted Takealot and spoke with Lance. He said if I am unhappy with the phone I can return it. They don't worry about false adverti*****ts, just as long as they can sell their products. Neither Takealot nor Samsung SA care about the wrong adverti*****t of the Samsung products. My advice to the people out there: Don't buy a Samsung from Takealot, you pay cheaper, but you get a LOW SPEC phone. I sent Takealot all the documents, screenshots they asked and I didn't even got a response from them. Please stay away. Samsung also didn't came back to me as requested.
