Parthenon Dry Cleaners cleaned our curtains & melted the blockout lining to the fabric when they ironed it. I have called at least five times to speak to the owner. I am told he is not in but he will call me back which he has never done. I asked for his cell phone number but this was refused. They were very expensive and the service was not good and now our curtains are damaged. I would not recommend them to anyone.
I recently had my vehicle repaired at Farber Coachworks in Tokai. They promised a 10-13 working days repair. The car went in on 1 August & I received it back 31 August, 22 working days later. In addition there was no communication from the shop, if I didn’t follow up I heard nothing & all promises were missed. I will not take a car back there and wouldn’t recommend it.
I bought 3 ceiling fans from Solent, which is based in Durban, in 2016. Recently one of the infrared remote controls stopped working. I sent an online service request on Friday 10 Dec after close of business. At 7:45am on Mon morning Rodger from their client service contacted me to get details of the exact remote being used and on Fri 17 Dec the replacement part was delivered to my home in Cape Town free of charge. Amazing service not often seen in SA these day. Well done Solent!
<div>Life Kingsbury Hospital has charged me twice for the same service, a covid test done on 22 Dec 2020. On 25 January 2021 I called and spoke to **** and explained the situation, She promised to investigate and come back to me which she did not. On 6 June 2021 I sent an email with all relevant documents attached to show the error was on Life Healthcare's side. On 23 June I re-sent the email. To date I have not had any response. On 4 July I received a final demand by email from the company. I have tried three times today to call their call center without success. I am at my wits end as to how to resolve this matter.</div>
We had our retractable awnings refurbished by Solara Awnings in February 2019. The original awning was also from Solara. The service has been terrible. They were late with the delivery of the awning and recently, during the high winds we experienced in Cape Town, the protective cover blew off the frame as it was never secured when it was reinstalled. I have contacted Suzette, the owner's assistant, on 0219513104 on three separate occasions and sent an email which she acknowleges as having received, and nothing has happened. Suzetter assures me she has passed on the message to the owner, Michael, but he is yet to contact me.
My daughter saw an advert on the Internet by Pentravel offering a 14 day “European Highlights” Contiki Tour “inclusive of free flights for +-R28,000. My daughter contacted the sales staff and was told that she needed to book before 31 January 2018 to secure the offer which was more than a week away. After delays in processing her trip she was sent a quote for +-R39,000. When she queried the price she was told that the “free flights” was subject to availability and there were none left. At no time during her previous interactions was this mentioned. This was all done before 31 January. One has to wonder whether there ever were any free flights available & if so how many and who they were sold to. In my opinion the staff were simply dishonest and attempting to take advantage of a young girl who was excited to be booking an overseas travel holiday. I will never use Pentravel again and I would advise anyone using their services to be extremely careful of their honesty.
I sold my house in Johannesburg in May 2014 with transfer taking place 1 August 2014. I had to pay three months estimated electricity charges in advance in order to transfer the property. As a result there was an overpayment of R2,087. I have completed all the required documents to secure the refund as the account has now been closed however despite numerous calls I am unable to get Eskom to refund me the money they owe me. The complaint has been escalated many times but still receives no response. My latest Eskom reference number in connection with this complaint is 138384359.
