Our contracts were fine. It was ending in December 2025. I called in October 2025 to cancel them and make BOTH numbers on my name prepaid. January, another deduction. Called again. A second agent confirmed both will be prepaid from February. Nope, February another deduction. Only one contract made prepaid. What the hell is wrong with people's ears? I asked numerous times on both of the first calls that BOTH contracts be made prepaid. Now I am stuck in a contract I didn't ask for that I asked cancellation for long before the due time to transfer to prepaid so I can load my own data and airtime. I want to keep the numbers (hence prepaid) but don't want a contract. I said NO to any other offers. Make BOTH numbers prepaid.
I cancelled my service THREE TIMES, and am still charged even while the sim doesn't even work. Rain is a business of *******. I tried cancelling AGAIN. I had no issues with Rain as a service, apart from heavy congestion at certain times which was to be expected. But now I want to cancel my last product as I got fiber, but the deduction was made again. I cancelled more than a month ago already, but still no progress. The device isn't even switched on. I am paying for something I am no longer using.
I generally like FNB. The app is a bit lower quality after the last update, but the payment issue I had was fixed. But now I have a different issue: funds not displaying right. A payment into my account is shown as a deduction. I transferred fees from one account to another to pay a bill, but after paying said bill once, the payment seems to have been deducted twice. This is my first issue. My second issue is the regular struggle to get the app to be online. I have 3 different types of internet and mobile data and every so often, the app will say it's offline while my networks are fast enough to stream UHD Netflix. This is an extreme pain. I'd just not even touch on the topic of fine print as is with any bank - saying you only pay R199, but my monthly bank fees accrue to the amount of R500. Lastly, the recommended for you nonsense once logged in is a major pain. Just...let us disable it. So TLDR: 1. Fees appear to be deducted twice on a payment made once. 2. App shows offline when network speeds have no issues. 3. Monthly fees are never as you say. 4. Really, we need to be able to disable the recommendations that come up once eventually logged in. It's irritating. If I wasn't adjusting to a new job, I'd consider leaving FNB. It's no longer a bank for your everyday person.
I left Absa to go to FNB because of ebucks...which are no longer generating as it used to. Now, there's a major commucation issue between the FNB app and other apps (takealot in my case) I do finances which mean both me and my husband's FNB profiles are loaded on my phone. When, and IF, I get the prompt to approve a transaction, the stupid app opens the wrong profile. So if I pay with my husbands card, my profile is opened. This never happened before. What is going on? Further more, the app constantly says "You're offline" while I have full internet access. It was a damn struggle to open an account for my son. The digital platform is useless, and in the bank itself too. When we bought a car, no one - not the call center or the bank itself - could get our payment approved. We had to do it in three smaller payments because of limitations on your platforms. FNB and their app and branches and ebucks are really getting on my nerves. At this rate, I will move our banking to somewhere else. Get your services back on standard, for heaven's sake!
Good day, I am so far enjoying getting active, but I have a very big concern. I joined Virgin Active on 22 April 2021 Part of the agreement was two free months, which should be July and August. Sadly, I had a double deduction in June (the 1st and the 19th) and still had a deduction on 1 July. I am thus owed R800 by now and fear another double deduction coming. Can this issue please be addressed as soon as possible. I cannot get hold of anyone using the call line and have not received a call back regarding this issue. I have submitted bank statements to my local Virgin Active (Welkom) and raised this issue three times already, and still no correction has been done.
I am really baffled and stunned and totally negative. My husband and I have two vehicles. Mine is 4 years newer than his, Hyundai Grand i10 and financed, 2018. His car is a Fiat Panda, 2014 My car is with Old Mutual, but costs almost R500 LESS than my husband's car. My car is newer, and I have seen already that the services are more expensive, but my car is cheaper. My 2018 model financed Hyundai costs under R900 a month. His 2014 unfinanced (bought cash) Fiat costs around R1240 a month. Our whole house, including content costs HALF as much. How the hell do you get this right??? He has his licence longer than I do too, and still it costs more. I have no words to express my unhappiness about this.

Hello I generally enjoy my Rain connection a lot, but this issue is unacceptable. The cell tower in Hennenman has no backup power and it's not being fixed. When we have load shedding, there is no signal. Not for Vodacom, MTN, Telkom or Rain, which means the town is disconnected from the outside world unless they use Cell C or fiber backbone wireless internet. Many old people live here and are at risk of not being able to contact anyone in case of an emergency. This needs to be fixed ASAP as it's unacceptable in the 21st century
