Thehotel offers a good view of Saldanha Bay. But that is where it stops. The resturant is sub-par and has no interest in helping culinary requests e.g. replacing high carbs such as chips with a salad or vegetables. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. I would suggest you look for alternative accommodation.
I bought a machine from Evetech. Within a short while the start button failed. I have brought the computer in for repairs twice. On both occasions, I got a message to fetch the computer as the repairs had been done. On both occasions, I returned home and connected the computer, only to find that it was in the same condition as when I brought it in for repairs. This is extremely poor service and total deception in stating that repairs had been completed and the computer was in working order.
I moved to a new address and subscribed to Supersonic as my internet service provider. After waiting for more than one week, the technician arrived with the fiber box and router. He plugged in the fibrebox and connected the router and left. It is more than one day and the internet is not working. Support is via WhatsApp and non-existent. This is the worst ISP I have ever come across. My advice is - avoid Supersonic or if you are up to a technical challenge proceed with Supersonic
I have used Woodford Car Hire for a few rentals. After each rental, I had to end emails requesting the return of my deposit. This takes some emails ad waiting 7-10 days for the money to be returned. Yesterday I booked a rental and even paid a deposit. On arriving at Woodford today, the debit card that I have always used, without an issue, was not accepted. I asked directly "Do you want me to go elsewhere?" To which the assistant replied "Yes". I left and went next door to First Car Hire and hired a car within a few minutes, with minimum hassle. The treatment between the two car rental companies was like night and day. Thank you- First Car Hire for making car hire an easy quick task.
I am not one to easily give compliments, but the service I received was certainly noteworthy. I had an 80 year old stinkwood dining room table, 8 chairs and a sideboard restored. The results were absolutely stunning. The beauty of the stinkwood is now on show. At the same time, I had a lounge suite recovered. Again, excellent work.
In November I received an SMS from Nedbank that the home insurance was canceled due to lack of payment. As I have a debit order to make payments, this could not be the reason and was done unilaterally without contacting me or my personal banker. I complained and received an updated contract initiating 2043. I replied that this was unacceptable and did not accept this. Nedbank has now deducted money from my account, without my consent. Everyone I speak to is unable to help me because it s above their pay grade and promised to call back. This never happened. The Complains Department unable to help. The Fraud Department refuses to regiser this and will not investigate or report bac to me. Bottom line - don't get a bond or insurance from Nedbank. If you do you are on your own and have no recourse if there is a problem don;t expect any help or even answers. Your person banke has no authority to do anything for you. In my case she was unabel to even speak to the insurance deepartment.
I fly locally on average twice a week. In order to make these flights more pleasurable, I purchased QJump. Kulula sells a product called QJump, whereby one pays money to board first and luggage gets offloaded first. Kulula puts up a little board, stating QJump, but makes no effort to get this system works. When I questioned the check-in person, she replied that they did not have time to do that. I then said that I will complain and she replied, "Go ahead". On my return flight, I complained to the ground staff. Their reply was to unload me from the QJump - NICE WAY TO TREAT COMPLAINING PASSENGERS. BY TAKING AWAY SOMETHING I PAID FOR. This is clearly fraud.- paying for something you will never receive. Goodbye Kulula!!! I will not be flying your airline again. There are other airlines giving better service
You pay R70 for the word Q -Jump on your boarding pass and you get a green tag on your luggage. Before check-in, queues for at either side of the counter. The check-in clerks arrive with a stand that advertises Q-Jump. The clerks then start checking -in people, as they stand in the queue. When I queried this, I was told that they (check-in clerks were too busy for that) As for the luggage being offloaded first- what a joke. I came on the carousel long after others had collected their luggage. Q_JUMP IS THE BIGGEST CON YET
I found out by accident that Mweb was not hosting my website, despite me paying on a monthly basis. On enquiry, I was told that they do not support legacy systems. Taking money from me without service is fraud. I then asked for a backup of my webpage, as I intended to move to another company that would host my webpage. I then got it in writing the MWEB DOES NOT MAKE BACKUPS !!. WTF- this is the cardinal sin of any IT company not to do backups.
