Hisense TV updated software suddenly does not support DSTV Stream or Disney plus. Worthless purchase as I purchased the TV for this purpose and I have only used it for 1 month.
Both Kagiso in the policy renewal department and Zanele in the policy review departments were very helpful. My policy amount was calculated fairly. Everything was clearly explained.
Following a recent claim with MiWay it seems that their assessments department has changed and either have no idea what they are doing, as they severely underestimate the cost of repairs, or are forcing clients to use their service providers only instead of having the option of being paid out and using a service provider of their choosing. It however seems that the service providers also have to fight to get the required amount from Miway to adequately repair the vehicle. I had two quotes from Miway appointed service providers, which I presented to them after having my vehicle physically inspected, however, MiWay assessments department insisted that the quotes were inflated, insisting that one quote was 6x the amount required to repair the vehicle and the other quote was 4x the required amount. The assessments department also delayed repairs by taking a long time to come back with answers. I am extremely disappointed with their service and the arrogant manner with which I was treated by their claims department, including the claim’s supervisor, with whom I was in contact while attempting to get a fair payout for repairs to my vehicle. It caused me excessive stress and has prolonged the repair time. I was also not offered the rental vehicle for which I have been paying a premium monthly. Sad sad service. I have had excellent service from MiWay in the past but it seems that this has severely deteriorated. I have not had a vehicle for over two months now. Granted, the auto body repairer was closed for two weeks over Christmas, however it is still an exceptionally long time. With a previous claim, I was fairly paid out within 1 week and my vehicle was repaired at my preferred auto body repairer within a week after that, hence my surprise at the treatment received this time around. MiWay is not the cheapest, but I stuck with them thinking that I would get good service as before. I’m sorry I made that error. My accident took place on 10 November 2023. It is now 20 January 2024. I am still waiting for my vehicle. Should the required outcome of a FAIR payout to use my own service provider have been achieved my vehicle would have been repaired over the Christmas period and I would be happily driving again.

Nathi came back to me very quickly with a quotation. His pricing was very competitive and his workers were very well trained, careful with fragile items and knew how to handle and pack things. I was very happy with their loading and offloading. Excellent service.
I had a wonderful experience with Prega and Moodley movers when I used their service to move from Johannesburg to Durban in 2018. I need to move once again and given my great experience with them previously I wanted to use their services again. I was also very happy to see that they offer storage units as it would be so much easier to use them to move as well as rent a storage unit from them. I contacted Prega on emails, via WhatsApp, a telephone call and an sms and I am still waiting for quotation. I first made contact on Tuesday and today is Friday and I am still waiting. I contacted some other moving companies as I need to move urgently and they responded within 1 hour. I have accepted a quotation from another company and I guess that means that my move in 2018 with Moodley movers was my first and last.
My vehicle had a minor service, the first out of service plan. They were quick and well priced.
I have been trying to get home contents insurance from Miway. I am extremely disappointed with their service. I have four quotes registered on their system. Every time I call or a consultant phones me the amount escalates. It has gone from an initial amount of R206 to R230, then to R260 and now we are sitting at R289 for only R100 000.00 cover. I already accepted the cover and the price has gone up after acceptance. I do not understand this. Every time someone says they will call me back it fails to happen or it takes a week to happen and when I do speak to someone the price increases. I have car insurance with Miway and was impressed with their service, even with a claim that I processed last month, but the home contents insurance has been an endless headache. I have dealt with Mpho in client retentions numerous times and she has tried to assist me, but she keeps needing to pass me through to one of the incompetent consultants to handle my request further. I am completely fed up and looking for insurance elsewhere.
Dent Doctor in Edenvale has given me the most excellent service twice now. Their prices are good and their turnaround times are excellent. Their workmanship can also not be faulted. I highly recommend this panel beater. The manager, Kirshy, in Edenvale is extremely helpful and professional.
