Get Absa insurance at your peril
I thought my review might prompt some sort of response from absa but I see they already have terrible reviews so obviously aren’t bothered by them. I think the only course of action now is to cancel all My policies with them and select a new insurer. Their service is abysmal and it’s impossible to get answers from them. I believe I’m driving my car without insurance since last year because the insurance was never activated. I’ve tried to cancel buildings insurance on a property sold last year but see I’m still being debited. The excess refund I was promised when someone rear ended my second car has never been paid to me and a claim payment from them for flood damage has been outstanding for more than a year. Their customer service people promise to sort out the problems then you never hear from them. they acknowledge receipt of your e mails but never come back to you again . My insurance costs me several thousand each month but need their service and they’re invisible.

Cunard customer service sucks
This should have been an amazing review but I was refused boarding to queen Mary 2 because I had a temporary British passport. It was specifically issued for my cruise with full details of the ship snd every port it stopped at. Issued by the British consulate in Cape Town. They even told me South African ports wouldn’t accept it although I’m a South African permanent resident. I have travelled through two of the countries on the itinerary without incident from their immigration in an effort to be admitted to the ship But they refuse to budge. I wanted my son and I to have the holiday if a lifetime after he suffered a massive heart attack and I recovered from a stroke but it’s been a nightmare and my money has all gone trying to sort it. They have made no effort to help

Could do better
Beware dealers who make an offer then come to find fault and renegotiate. Can live with that but not multiple calls from wheelie every day even though I told them on day one that I only listed on behalf of my son andtheyshould please deal with him. Found them very irritating.

summit bar and grill. wake up to customer requests.
Been going there couple of times a week for the whole year with friends and family for breakfast. Lovely atmosphere, convenient location, plenty of parking and friendly waiters. would rate it five star but for one thing. No matter how many times you request marmalade instead of jam with breakfast and alternatives to dairy milk they just will not put in the effort to get it.

massimo's hout bay
The best Pizza in Hout Bay. A warm family venue with good Italian food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended. You will see why Massimos is voted the best by the locals. Took my visiting family there last week and everyone had a good word to say. Will definitely be back.

Clay cafe
A fabulous place for lunch when the kids are on holiday. Took my grandson there last week and he had the best time. Begged to go back the next day. He painted his gift for his mummy and now excited to collect it once its been glazed. A whole range of items on offer to paint at reasonable cost and very tasty food. The service could be a tad quicker otherwise five stars.

Hout Bay Manor
lovely venue for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and cake. Excellent service and the best cakes in town. Sit outside under the trees when the sun shines or inside if its cold.
