I received a daily marketing email from Game Stores. After clicking unsubscribe I need to enter my email address that I want removed from their distribution list. After doing this I receive the error message "ID is not unique and can be shared; contact update not possible" and it won't let me unsubscribe.
This business is in financial strain due to lockdown and is now resorting to unethical business practice. I visited the Point Virgin Active in December last year and cancelled my membership. - I was told it could only be cancelled from 1 March and had to continue to pay membership fees (R1250) for Jan and Feb. - I have been worried about this since the staff who captured my cancellation on the system refused to give me any written proof of my cancellation. Despite my objections they did not budge and all I could do was take a photograph of my request as it had been entered on their admin system. - I received an email on 14 Dec to say my request was being dealt with (ref 597295724) but I have received no further communication whatsoever. - My membership was not terminated and I was billed R1 250 on 31 March. I have been a member of the gym for many years and am deeply disappointed. I will never recommend anyone join this gym now.
I purchased a Hisense Fridge for R9 999.00 from this online store in October 2019. I was contacted by Bernard who said he was struggling to order the fridge and blamed the supplier, Hisense. This dragged on with Bernard continuing to blame Hisense and I eventually cancelled my order in January 2020 and requested a refund. Since then Bernard has proceeded to provide a different excuse/reason for an additional delay in processing my refund every time I contact him. In March said he had finally been refunded by Hisense and he would be able to refund me the next day once the amount reflected in his account. In June he blamed someone else for not doing their job properly, for not initiating the refund process. He assured me he was giving it his personal attention and I would receive my refund within a few days. It is now the end of July. Bernard is your quintessential crook - a smooth talking and professional sounding businessman who makes you want to believe and trust him when you speak to him. He needs to be stopped now, as he is the kind of crook who will one day cheat pensioners out of their savings in a much bigger scam than my fridge. The website states Shop All You Want is a division of The Online Retail Company (Pty) Ltd, 7 Mimosa Street, Herm**** Industrial.
I took a Subaru Outback for 60 000 km service (this is a big service). There was no indication where to park when I arrived, no one around and no one at reception. Mohammed said he would contact me during the day to let me know progress but I never received any calls to give progress or to let me know when to collect my vehicle. I was charged me for a new petrol filter - parts and labour - but they never fitted it (they left it in my boot). Mohammed told me they could only fit it if I had less than half a tank of petrol. They never told me this before the service, so I assume a lot of people just end up having to bring their car in twice for a service. I'm just sorry I didn't insist that they reprint my invoice deducting these items, as I had a feeling it was going to be a nightmare getting it fitted after I had already paid. Mohammed said I must let him know when my petrol is low and he would send a technician to my workplace to fit the filter. I brought my car in 19 July. Today is 31 August. I have received not a single phone call from Subaru / Mohammed. There was no one available to speak to me last time and I was told that service manager Neville would contact me as soon as he was available but no one did. I have let Mohammed know twice that my petrol tank is low and he has promised to send a guy out the following day. Both times no one came and there was no call from Mohammed to let me know what was happening. I was charged R7 300 for the service.
I couldn't update my previous review so giving a new one - 5 stars to pull up the average after the no-show on day 1. The guys did arrive on day 2 and it looks like they have done a good job but I suppose will only really know after a few rainy winters . Very friendly, cleaned up afterwards. For some reason they only filled in the wall crack on one side but they came back and did the other side.
Today is day 1. They said they were coming today. I phoned at 9:30 am to find out if they were still coming and was told they were. Well they never turned up the whole day. I'll keep this review updated if they turn up tomorrow. They are due to sort out leaks in my flat tin roof and put an expansion joint in a wall crack at balcony where water is getting in. Perhaps it's a bit premature to post a review; however, to me simply not turning up is unacceptable. I have had to make arrangements to let them onto the premises today.
Debonairs pizza are thieves. Debonairs frankly has stolen R200 from me. I have an sms from them received at 8:45 pm to say they had my order. But they - never showed up. - never bothered to answer the phone. - never contacted me. I logged a complaint with the Debonairs customer care (ref 442979). They are involved in this blatant theft as I have heard nothing from them. They promised a response within 48 hours and that was 5 days ago. I gave up and ordered from Butlers pizza at 9:50 pm and Butlers delivered 20 min later. My credit card was debited with R197 by these thieves.
I ordered sieves/mesh filters for my water tanks, and a water pump, on 29 Jan. I was told 8 weeks was indication of how long it would take. It's now almost 4 months, and no indication from Builders Warehouse of when I will get these essential parts for the water tanks.

The website advertises Incredible Icloud for R99 for 24 months, but you cannot purchase on-line you MUST visit a store to buy your licence number (makes no sense to me).

So I visited the store at V&A and they charged me R199 (I thought it was my mistake thinking the price was R99.) However, when I got home I checked the price was advertised as R99.

Incredible Connection is unable to refund me the amount overcharged without my going back to the store. I don't go to the V&A often so there is a good chance they have swindled me for R100.

Ordered my pool cover on their site, paid my deposit, got my pool cover delivered all in about a week.

My only suggestion is you might as well pay in full when placing your order. You will anyway need to pay the balance before they give the cover to the courier. In my case this caused a 1 day delay as they were waiting for payment of the balance (1 extra day without my pool).

thanks Peter Sinclair
