RAM couriers delivered a bank card that I paid for to someone I don't know and cannot find on Facebook to retrieve it. Waste of my time and money.
If theres already a debit order in place for my loan why is concept recoveries (Mr. Courtney Bam) contacting me to sign a AEDO?
0 stars. Im unemployed and constantly fighting with African bank about it. Payment arrangements were made on my loan which was always paid, no missed payments. And now im handed over to a collection agency??? If i can't pay more than the arranged amount due to unemployment im not going to magically **** the money out for a collection agency.
DO NOT BANK WITH AFRICAN BANK. The consultants working at head office do not do their jobs and it comes back and bites you in the end. Once again for maybe the 5th time since 2020 I am writing a bad review regarding the people that handle the loans department and now Im absolutely tired, frustrated and ****ed off visiting the branch continuously and still getting no results. If a person is unemployed and a payment arrangement has been made why do you keep sending me emails to pay my account? Where must i **** that money out from? How many times must i tell you that I am unemployed? Are you not recieving the money agreed upon during the payment arrangement? Wake up African bank and communicate with each other at head office, update our profiles on your system. I am tired, taxis are not free to keep traveling to the branch to talk about the same problems, even the consultants see me and know exactly why im there now.
I think its time African bank addresses this issue properly and starts to hire more competent employees. A few months ago in 2022, i went in to the branch to have my premium on my loan reduced to R150 as i could not afford the R850. Everything was settled after the branch consultant called someone at head office. Suddenly i got charged R850 and was short for my rent, i had to go to the branch 3 times to get that money back and also set my installment to be a cash payment and no longer a debit order. African bank continued to try and debit R850 from the account according to my statement and refunded. Eventually on the 11th of November the last day being a working person they took R850 from account and didn't return it, once again i had to go back to the bank for this. Now im recieving emails that my account is in arrears, first of all if the job was properly and the R850 was changed to R150 like i asked this would not be a problem and African bank head office was informed that I'm no longer employed and my mother will be paying the R150 untill i find work again.
10/10 Service for ZAMA NGWENYA!!! Very intelligent person to speak to over the phone and via WhatsApp. She was also extremely patient with me when I could not answer calls and made an effort to speak to me after hours when I was unavailable during the day. Card machine arrived a few days after I made payment and sent the proof of payment, very easy to setup and it works well. Thank you for the excellent service experience!
Very slow service, complicated procedures just to change your router password. Almost 4 days and im still waiting for it to be done. Very disappointing.
I have a loan with African Bank and lost my job last year March after the business closed down. Unemployment insurance was activated for 1 year and recently came to an end. I went to African Bank on the 28th of April to make a payment arrangement for R150 a month which i got an sms proving i would pay R150 from 03/05/2022. On the 30th of April i was debited for R850, a premium i cannot afford and its made me short on my rental payment. On 04/05/2022 i went back to the branch and explained what happened, on the day i was assured that i would recieve a refund in 3 days. I didn't get it. Today 25/05/2022 I went back in to the branch to escalate the matter as i need that money, I was told from head office that the refund is pending investigation and they cannot tell me when i will recieve my money back. Its unfair that i had to spend 3 occasions of unpaid leave to try and get my money back and have to continue begging and borrowing from neighbors until African Bank returns the money they took from my account which wasn't authorized in the first place and now its a problem to return too.
Today i recieves i phonecall that i need to pay my account with RCS. i explained to the woman Mogie that i was informed by RCS that my installments will be paid by my insurance from April to August and i will only be required to pay at the end of September. THIS WOMAN MOGIE REFUSED TO LISTEN AND DECIDED TO SPEAK OVER MY EXPLANATION!!!!! WORST EARS EVER. PLEASE HIRE SOMEONE THAT CAN USE THEIR EARS BECAUSE ITS NOT MY FAULT YOUR SYSTEMS AREN'T UP TO DATE. RUDE AND PATHETIC.
