Very poor service. I took in my car for coolant leak. After 2 inspections, my car was leaking even more. They wanted to remove my top saying the water was leaking into the cylinder, but no symptoms suggest water was leaking into the cylinder. They even blamed my turbo. A simple pressure test by another company (Best drive) showed that the water pump which was replaced by Car Service City was loose. They also failed to secure my booster pipe which ended up rubbing against the radiator fan so more damages. Don't be fooled by old reviews.
Terrible inhumane staff. I paid for my medication via medical aid and left the phamacy. The following day, someone was sent to my home to collect a levy of R14. I could not believe that shuch a brand could send a stranger to my home to collect R14! Anyway we paid the man R20 and that was the end of it. A week later, my colleague goes to the same pharmacy to collect his blood pressure medicine. He also paid with his medical aid but there was a levy of R12. Unfortunately he did not have the R12 and was therefore turned away without the medicine. I feel this behavior was cruel and insensitive to a person's health. The embarrassment of not having R12 to pay for blood pressure medicine can only increase one's blood pressure even more. I understand the pharmacy is entitled to their money but this pharmacy valued R12 more than a human being's overall health. I know pharmacists to be the most kind healthcare providers. I've also been left off the hook for a small levy which I always paid back at a later date. Anyway, Not all Alpha pharms are like this so it is very disappointing to see a trend of inhumane decisions from companies we realy on.
I was helped by Nosinathi Shezi. He was very kind and patient with me despite my rage. Thank you so much Sir.
This is the worst shop ever. They advertise material they don't have. Delivery is extremely late. It will take you a hour on the phone to get through to someone. The staff is simply incompetent & management is worse. I'm helpless.
Thank you to Nandipha and her manager for great service! You made our valentine's day so special. They prepared a beautiful valentine's day hamper for my partner. Thank you! I need you to keep this up! All your customers need this kind of service.
Special thanks to Maureen and team at Food Lover's Market at Weskus mall in Vredenburg Western Cape. They prepared a special hamper for my valentine I wish I could show you the pictures! The treats were fresh and you could see the fruit basket was made with love. Thank you so much Maureen!
On the 12th February 2021 around 12:30 pm I called the store to enquire about any valentine's day specials the shop might have. The Lady on the phone transferred my call to James. At the time I was not aware that James was a male as I was not told who I'm being transferred to. When James answered the call, I mistakenly addressed him as "Mam". He quickly corrected me and I apologized explaining my mistake. James interrupted my apology by making a snotty comment saying that I should have listened more carefully to his voice. I tried explaining that I may have missed that due to the bad network coverage on that day and that not all deep voices are from males. Again he interrupted me and the whole conversation descended into an argument. I became upset and accused James of being rude & he started shouting at me. Never have I been so humiliated and belittled over the phone. I told James I was not interested in talking to him and told him I'd raise his behavior with Checker's management. I called again a few seconds later to ask for the Manager. I was told that the Manager was on leave and the lady who answered the phone didn't know when the Manager would return. To make things worse, I was told that James was the acting manager while the normal manager was on leave. This made me lose hope so I took my business to Food lover's market instead. As customers we sometimes make mistakes but that doesn't give anyone the right to belittle us especially when I try to apologize for the mistake. I'll never forget this experience! Completely ruined my day.
I often have my dinners at the Spur in Kuruman (Northern Cape). For a third time since March 2014, I have seen a police vehicle stop at the spur, police officials exit the vehicle with a hand-cuffed suspect & they waltz into the restaurant kitchen area. After 5 to 10mins they exit the building. Now about a week ago, two police officers were killed in a police station in JHB by a suspect who was detained but not searched not to mention the endless hostage drama happening around the world!!! How dare that manager expose us & his staff to that risk???!!! The police have no business coming into a family restaurant -with knives & forks lying around- with an apprehended suspect!! Spur is not a police station for processing criminals! Shame shame shame!!
