I sent my car in for a service to Kessel Motors Gardens. It came back with paint chipped off the front grill area and greasey handmarks all over the bonnet, with nothing said. When I ask, the Manager what happened, he knows all about it and immediately tells me that a roofing contractor did it, while working above the cars, but that I should get quotes and they will get the contractor to pay for the damages. Three weeks later there is no action, no repair and the nameless contractor not heard from. Now I'm being told that the car came in with the paint damages, and they are just trying to help me as a courtesy. As part of this courtesy what they will do is try and help to get the contractor to pay for the repair. Really? They actually tell me this in an email. With this kind of honesty and business ethic, I have to wonder if the car even got serviced?
If I could I give this company zero stars I would. They quoted to sand down a staircase and white wa****. The expected duration was 1.5 days. They used an angle grinder to do the sanding and wrecked the timber, spent two extra days to try and sand out marks and fill the damages with little success, then plastered it full of wood filler and white-washed over it all.1ex1 e The job Supervisor had nothing to say about the state of the job, he would literally would just stand staring at the staircase when questioned about the workmanship and way forward. Numerous requests to talk to the owner, Matthew Hansen, were met with the standard response: "He is not available."
I bought a 619 litre, stainless steel Bosch Fridge/Freezer from Hirschsin March 2022, by mid 2024 just the freezer door started rusting in patches thought the door. We went to Hirsch and were told the Bosch Stainless Steel cleaner will remove this, which of course it didn't. Called Hirsch in in January 2025 and are then told that Bosch have rejected any warranty claim because they don't cover rust and the rust is due to ambient conditions, which are apparently much worse at the freezer door than at the fridge door of Bosch are to be believed. Besides the fact that Bosch don't seem to understand that the definition of "stainless" steel is a steel that doesn't corrode (it's not just a name for a nice silver look), their explanation doesn't explain how my two other stainless steel Bosch fridges, one a full fridge and one an upright freezer, purchased in 2006, and which have been standing in this same house with it's unfavourable ambient conditions since 2008, without rusting. It's also interesting to note that Bosch USA offer a 3 year rust through warranty for their stainless steel appliances, which is freely available on the internet from their USA Bosch home site. I guess the ambient conditions in the USA must be similar to those in my kitchen in RSA. I asked Hirsch for a name and number of a relevant person at Bosch SA and was told to email their customer (lack of) care line. So be warned, this 619l l, Series 6 Bosch fridge/freezer is now approximately R20 000 to buy and chances are you are going to have some pretty expensive rust standing in your kitchen. I have a number of Bosch and Siemens appliances and have purchased the brand for years. Not anymore.
Placed an order online and paid a week ago. No indication since of order progress or delivery date. Business number is a cellphone which is not being answered. Sent an email amd got no response. WhatsApp messages are not getting any response. This company appears to be a scam.
I saw a generator advertised, phoned and confirmed stock then ordered and paid online. I got an order confirmation immediately saying delivery in 3 - 7 working days. After 5 days and not receiving any comms I tried to phone the office landline, the number just rang and rang, no answer. Tried again on day 6, same issue, then called the cell phone number and no answer. Sent a Whatsapp and got a response that day, then had a call and was told they had no stock in the branch I could wait for it to come from another province at the end of that week for delivery early the following week or get a refund. I chose to wait. Phoned on Tuesday this week after having heard nothing and was told it had arrived and will be shipped the same day. The generator arrived today, 2 days later, no box or crate, wrapped in bubble wrap, free to run around the back of a large empty truck on its wheels. Upon inspection the unit was scratched and chipped on all sides and dented on the exhaust end of the unit. I phoned the salesman. I was asked if it was it in a box, told I can't believe they sent you a damaged unit and then was told very matter of factly to return it to sender and they will refund my money since they have no more stock. Not a great experience, not great comms and not much sympathy or concern at the poor performance and inconvenience of this now ex-customer. Lets hope my money arrives sooner then my dented generator did.
I wanted to cancel my fibre to home Internet service with WebAfrica in March 2021 to move to a lower cost deal elsewhere. I was told Webafrica can better my deal if I stay. I agreed. Then I got charged more than before at month end. I contact them and get told the price wasn't loaded correctly but now we have fixed it. At the next month end I get charged more again. I contact them again and get told sorry you don't qualify for that lower price. I tell them that they offered it in the first place, but the answer is no. So I cancel for the end of August and on 11 August my line gets discontinued. I'm told its because I paid late even though I pay by debit order and they debited me at month end as usual. They say to rectify it they have to order a new line which will take 72 hours. Today I get notified that my order can't be processed because I already have a line. Despite all this if you phone in they refer you to the Whattsapp line. The wait for an agent on Whattsap is anything up to 6.5 hours if you contact them first thing in the morning. Try contacting them in the afternoon and you will wait until tomorrow. When I finally get to a person on the phone after 15 - 20 minutes wait, he says please hold while I check in the background and 20 minutes later when I have to go to a meeting he has not bothered to respond or ask me to keep waiting. There is no integrity and the service and response times are shocking.
A three course valentine's dinner for two, with an eat as much as you like buffet for the main course, was advertised by Oscar's Resturant in Stephen Dlamini Road (ex Essenwood Road) Durban via Groupon. We booked with a table of 18 other friends. Patrons had been lied to in that there were no starters. The restaurant was completely overbooked to the point that it was almost impossible to move between tables to get to the Buffet. By 7:30pm the food on the buffet had run out (there was rice and potatoes from a curry left when I got to the buffet table at 7:15pm). My wife and I ate no starter and no main course. The staff on hand said that the owner was not available for complaints. Demands for a refund of monies paid were denied by the staff present and the many angry patrons were asked to write their complaints on scraps of paper for the owner. Patrons were then told that there was no dessert either. After many complaints by patrons staff announced that trifle would be served. Small bowls of trifle and ice-cream then appeared. There was insufficient cutlery and crockery for guests resulting in patrons waiting for glasses and plates, which were coming out of the kitchen wet
