Hi purchased a fridge from My Tech House on 1 November 2024. I cancelled after 3 weeks when the order stilled showed pending and requested an refund which I am still waiting for. I have emailed numerous time and cannot get through to their call center as the call just drops. I have been waiting for my refund but they are not getting back to me. I was informed I need to go open a case against them. People do not purchase from this business.
Worst ISP I ever dealt with. The network stay get disconnected, and you cannot contact them by phone, email or whatsapp. I have cancelled the service but no repsonse as to whether it has been cancelled.
I had the worst experience with Cohen Properties. I relocated from Cape Town and had a week to look at places. Found a property close to my childrens school so took it. The place was fnished so I did not see the condition of the tiles but was assured it would be fixed. The tiles was broken and posed a danger. Month after month I was told it was with the "big boss" to approve. They came out once to relay a few tiles but it was uneven and they never bothered to grout it. Finally 3 months before my lease was up, I was told that they would replace it but that I would need to find accomodation for the period it was going to be fixed. I am a programmer that works from home so not only would I need to pay for accomodation for th period but also for my data needs, so thought it was not worth it for the short time left. Another issue I had was blocked drains. There are 3 houses built on 1 property. The sewage pipes ran under the house I was renting where it connected to the sewage pipes of the other 2 houses next door. On 2 occasions the drain got blocked, the first time it lasted about 3 days before it was resolved, the second time it took about 3 weeks before it was finally resolved. In this time I had sewage water running all along the one side of the house. Another issue I had was with electricity usage. The one month I went to buy prepaid electricity and was told that the account was locked. I informed Cohen who sent out an electrician to do some sort of "bypass" while they were sorting out the issue. The main box also sits on the property next door. When it was finally resolved the electricain came to remove the "bypass". that month I paid almost double the amount I had previously paid for electricity. I phoned in and said that there was something not right. With load shedding I also got my gas refilled I started using my gas stove and never used the electric stove again. Still it was using more electricity than usual, and I was told everything was connected properly. I decided to switch off the power by the mains and I could see that there was still electricity being used. Sent Cohen the proof, took a reading when I turned it off and then again 30 minutes later. They said they would send someone out which up to today I don't know if someone came. I could not wait to get out of there. On the day I handed the keys over, I enquired about my deposit. I was told it took 14 working days which is not in the lease agreement and never mentioned. After the 14 working days, I enquired about my deposit and was told the person was busy with wages. I informed them that I had contector coming to do work at my new premises and scheduled for this weekend know I was supposed to get my deposit, it never mattered to them. The Saturday I phone again and this time I was told that the person responsible for payments was busy with an issue on site. It looks like the issue took the whole day. Up to now I still have not received my deposit. I will never use Cohen properties again as they don't look after their clients. Just received proof of payment and from the R8550 deposit invested for 13 months, I am only getting back R1728. Trying to get an explanation but the lady is not answering.

My parents took out policies with Primne Meridian in 2015. My mothers was for R749 and my fathers for R449 per month. This was a 5 year policy and was paid up in January 2020. When my parents were debited in February and March this year, my mother reversed the debit orders only to be informed that if they do not pay by a certain date, the policy would lapse. Apparently there was a ruling that came out in 2018 and my parents were not informed instead Prime Meridian continued debiting them and refusing to pay back anything. All my mothers phone calls and emails go unanswered. I think this is totally disgusting that my parents paid 5 years on a policy and is getting not a cent back especially since my parents are pensioners that were relying on this money. People check your contracts before you pay for a policy for no reason. Those people thinking about taking out policies with them, please dont.
We have been trying to cancel Betterlife Insurance since October/November last year. Both my wife and myself phoned numerous, my wife has emailed them to cancel numerous times times and we get told its going to be cancelled or they going to call us bcak and they never do, but my account get debitted every month. Dont take out BetterlIfe, their service is pathetic. Looks like my only option is to go to the bank and try and cancel with them. Its over R3000 already they have deducted.
18/09/2015 Lionel came to fix my fridge which was not getting cold. (Freezer working fine). He charged me R550 to replace 2 relays on the compressor. The fridge worked for 3 days. Contacted Lionel who said I need to replace the compressor and it would cost R900 to fit new compressor and thermostat. 25/09/2015 the compressor was replaced (but not the thermostat). The fridge worked fine till about 23/12/2015. Contacted Lionel 3/01/2016 and he said he would come out. He came 3 weeks later and said that the thermostat damaged the compressor. It would cost another R450 to fit new compressor (still under garantee) and thermostat. He finally came 13/02/2015 to do this. This time both fridge and freezer was not working. When he finally came out to look at the problem he was adamant there was no problem on his side and eventually blamed it on the gas. Freezer working fridge not working because I found out that the thermostat he put cannot work in my fridge and I specifically asked him if he replaced the correct thermostat which he said yes. Fridge not working and cannot get hold of him, he does not answer my calls. Sms him to tell him the wrong thermostat is causing the problem, no answer.
September 2015 I contacted Lionel to fix my fridge which was not getting cold (freezer working fine). He chaged me R550 to replace 2 relays on the compressor. He replaced the compressor but not the thermostat, which he never informed me. The fridge almost worked for just over 2 months and then stopped working just before christmas. First week in the New Year I contacted Lionel and had to wait 3 weeks before he came around. The new compressor sounded faulty. In the same breathe he told me that when he replaces a compressor he replaces the thermostat, which he did not do in my case because he never had the proper 1 for my fridge and that the thermostat probably caused the problem and I would need to pay another R450 to exchange compressor and put in new thermostat. Had to wait another 3 weeks before this was done. This time the fridge did not work at all. I asked about the thermostat which he said he fitted the correct 1 which I found out was a lie. Now he not answering my calls even after sms him about incorrect thermost.
