Acer is now selling poor quality laptops and does not want to honor its warranties. I have always used acer laptops over the years and did not have an issue until recent when i bought an acer laptop in 2024 through incredible connection. In 2025, the laptop developed a mechanical issue and started dismantling. This looks like poor work from the factory. When i took it back to incredible connection i was told that the 3-year extended warranty on the laptop is not active as the laptop was not registered. This information was not provided at the time of purchase. Now i am being asked to pay almost 44% of the value of the laptop for repairs. This is ridiculous and unacceptable.
On 18 June I signed a contract to purchase a Huawei P60 Pro at an MTN store. I was given the phone immediately, however 3 days later, I returned to the MTN shop to return the phone because the Sim card was not activated and the phone has got software issues as there are apps that can't work on the phone. The satellite messeging system advertised on the P60 Pro phone by Huawei are not functional. The MTN shop refused to take the phone. The Huawei team have failed to resolve the software issue and MTN has refused to take back the phone and Huawei is not responding to the issues I have raised. To date the MTN contract account indicates that contract activation has failed in the system yet they don't want to accept their phone back and resolve the software issue.
This company is really unhelpful. Each time I have a matter as a member that need their expertise, the employees allocated to the case became rude and find every reason not to assist.
I paid for my 5G on 28 January 2021. I received the delivery on 1 February and since then the company has not connected me to the network. I have followed up 5 times and was successful 3 times and each time i was promised that the activation will be done in 2-24hrs however nothing happened. Rain works like a fraudster where they quickly collect people's money then invest it without giving any service. I wonder what the CEO is doing when the company is operating like a fraudulent scheme
I have a data sim-card with MTN with an annual credit limit of around R6400 together with my cell sim-card, and in the last month all of a sudden I have a R12411.72 data bill in addition to the monthly payments i have been making. When I upgraded my contract with MTN I took a 5G package with a top up however they decided to make it an open contact line in their system rather than putting a limit as on my contract. I have always paid my bill every month for my contract. Now I get told on the phone that I have massive data charges last month and that no limit has ever been imposed on my contract.. Is this not day light robbery and internal fraud?
